I like this spot! I definitely took advantage of getting a $50 gift card and got a Boba plushie first! I think they also offer a free drink with that purchase over the plushie! I figured whenever I go I'm buying like 4 or 5 drinks and it's practically closer to $50... Boba drinks average $6 each nowadays and for premium spot like truedan, it's very easy to spend up to $8 for a drink. They are quite yummy tho and it's definitely a treat to purchase! I like their "sweet tofu with Boba" --- it's not super sweet... Doesn't have a flavor, it's like water with brown sugar Boba and sweet tofu... And the brown sugar from the Boba is what makes the fluid have it's flavor. My kids like their sweeter drinks and it's definitely worth the try!

This Truedan location took over Majestea in downtown Burlingame. There is plenty of parking - parking lots/street parking. The wait here is a bit longer than the other locations that I had been to, but maybe over time, it will get better. At this particular location, I tried their Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba, Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba, Crema & Oreo, Jasmine Tea Latte with Creama, Strawberry Mango Yogurt Ice, and Thai Tea Latte with Brown Sugar Boba. The fresh milk with with brown sugar boba has a strong brown sugar taste and it basically tasted like a brown sugar milk, if you are into that - it was sweet, so I suggesting getting less sugar. The fresh milk with brown sugar boba, crema, and Oreo was pretty good. Be sure you mix well, it is like a chocolate milk with Oreo crumbs and a strong brown sugar milk taste to it - this drink is overly sweet, so I suggest getting less sugar. The jasmine tea latte with crema was not my cup of tea, the tea taste was stronger with very little creaminess to it and it was a bit watery. The strawberry mango yogurt ice was creamy, at first I thought it was be sour from the strawberry or tarty from the mango, but it was actually sweet and had more mango taste than the taste of strawberry. The Thai Tea Latte with brown sugar boba had a strong tea taste like a black and oolong tea mixed, I learned from my last experience at Skyline - I tried this drink with100% sugar instead of 70% and it was decently sweet.

Overall great boba spot. Highly recommend the black tea latte with crema and the matcha latte(not pictured.) The boba was delicious, very chewy and had great texture.It can be slightly pricey though and so if you don't mind spending the extra buck, definitely recommend.

Delicious milk tea with oat milk! I'm pleasantly surprised because most oat milks have a slight aftertaste, but this was perfect! Tons of sweet, warm boba at the bottom.

True Dan satisfied my cravings on a hot Sunday afternoon! I ordered the fresh milk with brown sugar boba and it didn't disappoint. The tapioca pearls were soft and just right. I asked for 30% sweetness but it was still a bit sweet, but it is a brown sugar drink so it was expected. I did notice that their prices are a bit expensive compared to other boba places. Overall, the experience was great and 5 stars for customer service.

Frequent regular at the burlingame store. Thai Ice tea with grass jelly. (no boba, 20+ orders/40+ drinks ordered this year) For some reason, they always got my order messed up. Really upset to see the boba in my drink. I don't mind having it once or twice in my drink, but it's happening too frequent. Out of my last 10 visits, they messed my orders more than 4 times. Today is another day that they did it again and the server also said that they ran out of Thai tea and cannot remake it. They are kind enough to offer me grass jelly on the side. Now I have to go home and pick out the boba with spoon instead of enjoying my favor drink on the way home :( I like the Thai ice tea and the grass jelly a lot. The smooth ice tea well matched with the silky grass jelly. That's why this is my go to drink on all TrueDan stores. Highly recommending the store adding this to the menu. I am delighted to have Truedan in the area serving high quality drinks, but the management team needs to step up in terms of paying attention to details and getting customers' order right. Tips for other customers: Ask for the receipt and double check to make sure they got your order right every time! The review will be updated after the next 10 visits at this store and the rating will be reevaluated again.

Why not on a 100° dayParking was a little hard to find, it was a Sunday and with all the Parklets still in the street I had to circle three times it was about to give up when I found a spot.Ordered:? I had originally wanted to try something else that was a specialty drink that was no longer available and so they recommended the strawberry mango yogurt ice and so glad they did.Little disappointed that the cute tiles on the entry "Boba Addict" we're dirty because of course everybody wants to get a photo with it, So I just tried to use the drink to cover the spot that was not visually appealing.Can't wait the downtown Burlingame area looked really cute so I'll definitely be back

I love trying new tea/boba places and was heading to Pescadero so I wasn't too far and headed over. I will say parking in this part of town wasn't easy there are still a lot of parklets up taking Street parking to give restaurants outdoor options Once there was a tad disappointed that the cute tiles "Boba Addict" at the entry were so dirty as it's obviously for "that photo" you want to take. Tried to use drink to cover it for my photo. They weren't crazy busy when I got there, but were by the time I left so I timed that just right. There was a drink I wanted that turned out to have been a specialty drink that wasn't available any longer, they did make a recommendation which turned out to be wonderful. Ordered: Strawberry Mango Yogurt Ice Very refreshing on a crazy hot day Credit card machine wouldn't work without chip probably just a temporary issue. Didn't take long to get my drink. The downtown Burlingame looks nice will come back to spend more time and visit Truedan again

Pricey but quality.Limited drink menu (a good thing). Their house milk teas are great with nuanced flavor thanks to their lower sugar usage. They use a boutique source for their barista milk which came through on the A2 milk tea with taro and brown sugar.Drinks are going to be 6 to 9 dollars.I appreciate their use of bamboo straws.

Customer service at it's finest!! Came here incidentally while visiting the area. Was pleasantly surprised -- my school club decided to also ask if we could fundraise through Truedan and the manager Juanita was happy to oblige! They even let us try the drinks before placing the order. Not only is the general service great, the management clearly communicated with us throughout the whole fundraising process and were very accomodating. If you are in the area, I highly suggest visiting, as the drinks themselves are one of the best I've had in the Bay Area. You can count on me to come back whenever I'm in the area!

I was tempted to get the strawberry mango yogurt ice but I was scared to be dissatisfied so I opted for Fredi milk with Brown sugar boba which never disappoints. However my colleague did like the strawberry drink, but they are more experienced than me lol Next time I will try it ...

Solid brown sugar milk spot~~ The drinks are well made and have very nice aesthetic. Taste is quality and appearance is photogenic as heck. Only downside is the straws are kind of terrible. They end up splitting very easily with minimal use, so I hope they change it up in the future (compostable bamboo straws someday??), or bring your own boba straw!! I heard the drinks run a bit sweeter at Truedan so I went with less sweetness. The A1 fresh milk with brown sugar boba (50 sweet and 50 ice) was just right for me. Lovely brown sugar caramel flavor with creamy Straus milk. The boba was nicely chewy and flavorful. A bit more expensive than other places, but also very satisfying experience. I was happy that the brown sugar milk was customizable, as not every place lets you adjust sweetness. I found the flavor to be strong, but not overly sweet (since I went with 50). The A3 fresh milk with brown sugar and fresh taro (100 sweet and 50 ice) was also really delicious. The fresh taro paste was cooked down to a very smooth consistency. No tiny taro bits. Very flavorful. Nicely sweetened. It was a good pair with the brown sugar milk.

I had a similar experience as the one detailed in Tammy's review. It was my second time coming to this spot. There were a couple workers in the back talking, didn't seem to be making drinks, and no one at the front to take my order. There's a tall barrier between the drink making counter and the front. Plus, the curtains were drawn (which seems unnecessary). With this set up and no employee at the front, how is this exactly supposed to work out? No one noticed I came in or that I had been waiting. I left without ordering anything. This happened the first time I came too, where I waited a while for an employee to come out from the back to take my order. That time I was able to try the strawberry mango yogurt ice. It's a really good drink and the boba texture is perfect. To the owners- maybe a camera would be helpful? Or even a bell for customers to ring because your staff like gathering at the back.
