They charged my cedit card $30.00 more th"an the room fee. I ended up paying $91.26 for a $ 61.26 agreed upon price. Give me back my money and i will change this review because i wasn't unhappy until I saw what i was charged.

Right next to the highway so there was a lot of road noise. Walls were paper thin so we could hear the conversations in the rooms beside us. Didn’t hear a garbage truck but it sounded like numerous dumpsters were being dumped before 6 am. The floor in our room was patched with wood grain duct tape. Seems like people live there. The front desk staff was very pleasant when I checked in. Didn’t see anyone when I left my key.

It was so hot outside and this motel was perfect, starting with the front desk personnel. My room was clean, nice and comfortable and faced a green grass courtyard. But most importantly, the air conditioning worked GREAT! My shower was fabulous and the bed was so comfy that I woke up before I even knew I had fallen asleep. If you need a place to stop after being on the long and unending road, this is the place for a quiet break.

After our brief stay we realized that we had left a few items. One of which was extremally valuable and a necessity. I contacted them immediately and was finally successful after a few attempts. Ted had assured me that he would personally look into it himself and would call me back. He did just that and found our items! He left them where the following staff would not have a problem locating when we were finally able to return!

I'm not sure what people are expecting for $60. National 9 provided what I needed - and then some. If I was in need of a luxury property, I would have stayed elsewhere and paid triple. But I didn't need luxury on this occasion. I am in the process of relocating from Dallas to Palo Alto. On this day, I intended to drive to Bakersfield for an overnight stay. I am driving a 26' Penske truck, however, and pulling my car on a trailer behind it. That severely limits my parking options. So I passed Bakersfield and landed here in Butttonwillow. The front desk staff could not have been friendlier, directing me to park my 'rig' in front of the office so I can get out easily. And because I just need to sleep and shower, all I need is a clean bed and a bathroom. My standards for this stay were not high, but I would recommend particularly to solo traveler wanting basic accommodations for the lowest possible price for a night. It gets 5 stars for my parameters for this stay. And let me again say - the front desk clerk could not have been more friendly.

My husband and I were traveling home from a long road trip and it was getting late so we swung off I-5 and pulled into this motel. The first thing we did is pull off the bedspread (as always!) and this time discovered a cigarette burn hole in the bedspread on the underside, along with a long black hair! The bedside lamp was broken, the metal tissue holder was empty and hanging from the face of the vanity, the bathroom ceiling light was a rectangular hole , the toilet was dirty, as was the shower with a hanging shower head. The sheets appeared clean and it was so late that we just dealt with it. The next morning we were leaving and as we closed the room door, we noticed a TON of FLIES all over the rooms windows, sills, walls and ceiling outside...on every room’s window and window sills! This stay traumatized us so much that we drove the 15 hours home without staying at another motel!!

Ripoffs !! I had stayed in this hotel before and gave it good reviews but they have changed management. I argued with the clerk as to why they charged me $15 more than internet prices but to no avail. They took the $ out of my account and said they would refund it but have not yet returned it. No more of National 9 for me.

Walked in to the trashy room, looked around got 5” then demanded a refund. Broken, dirty a/c unit, smoke detector wires hanging down from the ceiling, light fixtures not working, toilet had urine it, not to mention the room smelled like a dumpster.

This was a clean motel easily food from the Interstate. Rooms had comfortable beds, refrigerators with frozen section, and microwave. Due to COVID the office was closed, but you could get a sack breakfast at the registration window consisting of two sweets, a yogurt, and a juice. Coffee was not available at the motel, but there was a Starbucks close by. I would stay again.
Fantastic Food! When they say california has the best mexican food this spot is what they mean!

The tacos and pupusas were very fresh and delicious! And the salsa that came with the tacos was nice and spicy.

This is honestly, the best motel I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve stayed in motels throughout Canada, Seattle, Portland, etc. The price is super affordable. The room is VERY clean. The staff were super accommodating, and I would DEFINITELY stay here again! I recommend bring your own towels/toiletries but the AC works, no bugs, the room is clean, and the beds are reasonably comfortable and I’ll definitely stay here without hesitation again.
