Awesome Mexican food
I talk up this local gem to everyone. They make their own chips and salsa, and are unmatched by far. You cannot dine-in this establishment, takeout only. The food is great, try the Al Pastor!

Hey, this is your basic neighborhood taqueria! The real deal: quick service, excellent fresh tacos with all the trimmings (plenty of good salsa, lemons, excellent sauce). Tasty fare. I look close at the rice alongside; real good. Definitely eat here.

It's a small hole in the wall kind of place were the food is excellent and the ambience is up to you
Service was great as well. They went over and beyond for us while we waited for our food
There is an outdoor picnic table, but I'd recommend pickup and dinning somewhere else.

We stopped by Taqueria Diaz for a late lunch after cherry-picking in Brentwood, on our way to Tracy. My wife was wanting something spicy, so after checking Google reviews, we decided to give this spot a try—and we’re so glad we did.
We ordered four tacos and a bottle of Coke, totaling around $16. Since the restaurant doesn’t have indoor seating, everything came neatly packed in to-go boxes. Each container held two tacos, a slice fresh lemon, pickled jalapeños, and radishes. On the side, they also included grilled onion and pepper, still warm and full of smoky flavor. And, a bag of taco chips was included three different salsas.
Every bite was simply amazing—honestly hard to describe just how good the tacos were. The meat was perfectly seasoned, and the balance of spice, acidity, and freshness was spot on. As a bonus, one of the staff kindly offered a rice milk dessert with cinnamon, which was delicious and comforting.
Though it’s a slight detour off the main route, Taqueria Diaz is absolutely worth the stop. If you’re in the area (or even if you’re not), don’t miss this place—it’s a hidden gem.
Keep in mind that there is no indoor seats.
Stopped by here a couple of times. Can't complain about the food when you're stuck in traffic going home with Asada burrito in hand. There's not much choice around this area. Would come back again.
Very good and doesn't take long to get your food.

Delicious food, huge portions, lovely owners and staff.
Food was delicious. Service was great. Only one outside table.
They are super accommodating with their menu, we’re willing to make me whatever I wanted as a vegetarian item which is very rare for restaurants in the area. The tortillas are homemade and so delicious, worth stopping for those alone!
A true hidden little gem off the Byron highway. Everything I've tried from tacos, nachos to burritos have always been delicious. They never disappoint and customer service is amazing ?
