La Paz in Calabasas is hands down one of my favorite spots for authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine. Every visit feels like a special treat, and the food is consistently amazing.
Let’s start with the guacamole and chips—absolutely fresh, perfectly seasoned, and always a crowd-pleaser. The guacamole is creamy with just the right amount of zing, and the chips are crispy and warm, making it an irresistible combination.
I also love the burrito combo plate, which is always satisfying. The portions are generous, and the flavors are spot on. Each bite is packed with savory goodness, and it’s clear that every ingredient is thoughtfully prepared.
The calamari is a surprise standout for a Mexican restaurant. Lightly fried and seasoned to perfection, it’s tender with a delightful crunch, and a great choice if you’re looking for something unique to pair with your meal.
And the drinks? The Cadillac Margarita is one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s smooth, strong, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet or overpowering. A must-have with your meal!
Beyond the incredible food, Oscar, the owner, truly sets La Paz apart. He’s always checking on guests, ensuring everyone feels welcomed and well taken care of. His personal touch adds to the warm and inviting atmosphere that makes every visit memorable.
Whether it’s a casual night out or a special occasion, La Paz never disappoints. The service is exceptional, the food keeps me coming back time and time again, and Oscar’s attention to his guests makes it feel like dining with family. Highly recommend!

This is the perfect place to have a meal that conpletely satisfies your appetite. Service is good and pleasant. A little expensive for general public. Spent close to high 80's with no alcohol.

A beautiful place with an incredible menu. Always most enjoyable.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome. They also have a large patio for dining which is where we were (8 adults, 4 kids from 2-9) last week. All of us had a great time!

Quiet old school Mexican restaurant hidden in the industrial section. Delightful staff, good food and drinks. A good change-up.

I don’t know how this place stays in business. The salsa was horrible, my albondigas soup had no meat balls . The food was tasteless no flavor. My husband’s beer was not as cold as it should be . Never ever coming back !!!

Food is okay, chips were stale. Portions were large but the price was high to match. I think te ranchero sauce was just plain tomato sauce. It wasn't bad, but I've had better for a better price.

We arrived on a holiday Monday at 11am, the place was empty.
Clearly a dinner restaurant, not a breakfast place.
No not for for vegetarians. This they do have whole beans that do not have lard

Salsa was fresh
Ordered:
Huevos rancheros 1 star
Eggs tasted like pork

I can't say a negative word about La Paz! Everything was just great! Waiters were very attentive. We never had to get their attention for anything. I am pleased and will eat there again and again. I will recommend to those that are worthy...lolol
