Beautiful place all in wood but the food and the price leave a lot to be desired. Good Place. Every local everything in wood. But I'm not happy with the food and the price. That's it
My wedding and reception were held here a couple weeks ago. The venue was lovely and intimate and I think everyone had a fun time. I felt the hospitality we received all day from the staff, whether that was with the room set up, dinner service, or bartending, was very good-natured and accommodating. I can't speak for everyone's meals, but the salad and 72-hour rib steak I had were tasty and good quality. To come to Saddlepeak is to expect some aged charm and an at-ease vibe as opposed to a big-business feel. For me the setting and whole experience added up to a wonderful evening.

Seems to have really deteriorated. We have been there over 20 times and the last was so bad my wife sad never again.
$20 for grilled strawberries? Are you kidding? $85 for a steak and potatoes? That’s just greed.
This restaurant should be charged with fraud. We made a reservation 6 days in advance through their website for a Saturday night dinner for six people. We received a cancellation notice call the Friday evening before our reservation. The message clearly communicated that "due to a wedding we cannot accommodate your party, we apologize for the inconvenience, if you'd like to reschedule please call us back." We left a voice message to express our displeasure, state that we would not reschedule, and to confirm their cancellation. One hour before the time we had reserved on the Saturday, we received a text message stating "we will see you in one hour." We immediately called the restaurant, and were told by an extremely rude "manager" that we had misinterpreted the cancellation! They subsequently and illegally charged our credit card $150!!! This required us to dispute the charge with our credit card company. If zero stars could be given, I would. Avoid this restaurant entirely.

We have been coming here for years. This place used to be packed with people but not anymore. Now I know why. The food quality has changed through the years. It used to be very good and now it’s just so so. The bone morrow we ordered came on our table cold so we returned it and order another one. The second order was waxy and not edible. Then we had the tomahawk steak and we found hair in the order. Spoke to the manager and he refused to give us credit because the hair doesn’t belong to their staff, he said. This was the worst experience we had ever been treated. Sorry to say that we will never come back here to eat.

If you are game for some wild food, this venue is unsurpassed. Pricy, but it's very worth it.

The reuben sandwich was really good. Nick the waitress made us feel good with everything. Tahin (a bird) welcomed us well at the valet area.

The Game Trio is why you come here! Seating inside the lodge or the patio outside, either is nice. Many people prefer outside but inside is also nice with rustic old lodge feel. Valet parking available. Tucked into the canyon hills location. Their wine prices are high but their clientele probably doesn't care Justin Cabernet is 3x normal. Great service with helpful suggestions. 1000% recommend the Game Trio! Loved the Elk on that plate. Also the Shishito Peppers appetizer. Portions are good size for the money. This place ain't cheap but the food and atmosphere is worth a special trip.
