One of my favorite hidden gems tucked away in the canyons of Calabasas. A unique place with great atmosphere, excellent service and outstanding food. The menu features wild game entrees that always delight. It is pricey but the food and the experience is worth it… perfect for a memorable special occasion.

Father’s Day Flop – $95 Eggs Benedict and a Side of Regret
I was brought here for a Father's Day brunch “special,” and boy, it sure was special — in the way a parking ticket on your birthday is special.
Let’s break this down: $95 per person for a three-course brunch. First course was a small salad (choose from three — none memorable). Main options were ribs, salmon, or eggs Benedict. Dessert? Predictable.
I had the eggs Benedict, which was just okay — and that's being generous. The potatoes on the side were soggy and flavorless. My wife and daughter had the salmon, which was dry and tasteless? Neither of them finished it.
Now, let me say this as clearly as I can: there is not a plate of eggs Benedict on this planet worth $95. And insult to injury? Coffee wasn’t even included. That’s right — brunch without coffee unless you pay extra.
But wait, there’s more: They slapped on a mandatory 20% “fee” — not a gratuity, not a tip, not a service charge (according to the fine print on the receipt). So what the hell is it? A mystery tax for being foolish enough to eat here?
We shared our disappointment with the manager. He apologized and comped us... coffee. Thanks, I guess?
The lodge itself is nice, and the staff was passable, but far from attentive. At $95 a head, I expect food that delivers and service that gives a damn. Maybe dinner is better here — I wouldn’t know, and frankly, I’ll never come back to find out.

First, we ordered the Fathers Day Brunch $95 per person. We ordered 2 glasses of champagne. We were served our salads before the champagne which we had to ask for again!!!! Then while we were eating the salads our entree arrived!!! We asked for the entrees to be served when we were finished with our salads.
Then after a half hour of finishing our salads we asked for the entree (eggs Benedict) and we were served COLD eggs Benedict. We asked for warm eggs Benedict and waited another 15 min for it to arrive. The croissant was burnt and soggy and one of us only received one egg! The potatoes were overcooked and unappetizing!! The desert we chose was flan. It was like a flat custard! Not a proper flan!
When we complained to the manager for a second time of our service we were told there was nothing he could do. His name is Harry and he should not be a service manager because he did nothing to make our $455 lunch enjoyable!!! We will never go back. It was so bad!!!!!

Set menu for Father’s Day at 95$ for some toast and eggs, refused to offer their original menu which had meats. Who offers eggs for Father’s Day and not meats ? And for 95$?
We had a fantastic time at Saddle Peak Lodge! Super cozy, lodge-style atmosphere and a warm fireplace made it a really memorable experience. The staff was super attentive, and the food was delicious. Definitely worth checking out, whether it’s a special occasion or just a nice night out. Highly recommend!

We had an family event here recently. It was perfect! The ambiance, the cocktails, the food. It is an unique place which is its charm. It has been here since the 1930s! It is warm and romantic and cozy and everyone had a great time. So glad it's still here!

A hidden gem in the canyon in what might be the most interest setting ever. The whole place is like a hunting lodge with hidden surprises around every corner. It has multiple stories with different themes, and a beautiful outdoor patio for dining and events. The food is also very good and high end. Great place to experience something new!

Beautiful place all in wood but the food and the price leave a lot to be desired. Good Place. Every local everything in wood. But I'm not happy with the food and the price. That's it
My wedding and reception were held here a couple weeks ago. The venue was lovely and intimate and I think everyone had a fun time. I felt the hospitality we received all day from the staff, whether that was with the room set up, dinner service, or bartending, was very good-natured and accommodating. I can't speak for everyone's meals, but the salad and 72-hour rib steak I had were tasty and good quality. To come to Saddlepeak is to expect some aged charm and an at-ease vibe as opposed to a big-business feel. For me the setting and whole experience added up to a wonderful evening.
