Be careful, check the expiration dates. This is the second time something I bought has been spoiled and expired... even though it's expensive, it's not worth what they're charging

I ordered a chocolate croissant and a cookie, both very tasty the croissant had dark chocolate and the cookie had a very tasty jam in the center. The cookie was slightly soft and very flavorful. The lady at the counter was very kind and helpful. This small plaza is very lovely and the street is a gorgeous place to take a pit stop. Lovely with a very close knit community!

Before you can get a sugar high, be prepared first to get a heart attack from the exorbitant prices. We can't remember seeing the prices on display but wish we checked more closely. Paid $44 for a cupcake, a couple of banana pudding and 2 tiny date things. Wow. This place needs some competition in Calabasas.

I didn't know that Sweet Lady Jane had multiple locations so I was thrilled to see it in Calabasas. Without a doubt, the absolute most beautiful cupcakes I've ever seen! Brought one as a treat for my daughter and she loved it 💖💖

Had a vegan chocolate cupcake from here— tasted old and dry.
I think I may be paying for it now with food poisoning. Won’t be back
Service is terrible. The girl working the counter dropped my brownie on the floor and asked me 'do you want a new one'. The prices are astronomically high and the pies look sad and stale as if they've been sitting out for days. The coffee is low quality and super watery. All around terrible.

$85+ tax (and tip??) for a small Triple Berry cake. We’ve loved SLJ in the past… but our local in Encino closed so it’s been a couple of years since we made the effort to buy their stuff. So yeah, unless I’m mistaken, the price of a small triple berry has gone up significantly. I wouldn’t mind if it was amazing… the whipped cream/butter cream was good. Not too sweet but lovely. Sadly, the cake was incredibly dry. Like, need a glass of water to swallow it level dry. Very disappointing.
As I’m reading other reviews, this seems to be a common reflection of peoples’ experience, which is too bad. I want to love their cakes and continue to support them but these outrageous prices with less than Costco level quality isn’t sustainable.

It was nice! The drinks lacked flavor but staff was friendly. The cake looked great so I'm sure you will get a better experience with those!

I was sold an old slice :( Their signature fruit cake had excellent buttercream outside it but the sponge/cake was dry and watery/soggy Not a good combo. The fruit bled into the icing enough to say, this isn’t only a few hours old? They were about to cut into a new cake, it was 10am, but then one girl said they had a slice pre-boxed.. Oof..I almost asked for a new slice but figured they’d argue everything was fresh. Clearly not. Girls, never sell a sub par cake to a woman. We know our cakes and will review them??

The cake isn’t bad, but for the price I expected it to be moist and the berries not so sour (I got the triple berry cake). The packaging is fantastic though, and I got a thick chocolate chip cookie here once that was top notch.
I will try some of the other bakery sweets or a flourless cake next time I go, but probably wouldn’t ever get a normal cake from here.
The people here are very sweet and welcoming and the store itself is cute.

I really want to support this place but the prices are obscene. $13 for a slice of pie and 2.50 for a mini brownie. Which was delicious! But a mini brownie isn’t even mini, it’s 1/4 of a regular sized brownie. For scale, it’s smaller than a fun size snickers bar.
I know inflation is out of hand but this seems unsustainable. Many other great options with better pricing. I hope they succeed, just won’t be with our business. It’s really just prices because we’ve always liked their treats, even prior to the sudden shut down earlier this year.

I got the red velvet cake (and a couple Triple Berry Cake Jars) for my sisters birthday. I had never tried Sweet Lady Jane before- but it was amazing! The cake was soft and delicious, and the frosting was not as sweet as other cakes which is perfect. I served it with some fresh strawberries (a perfect addition). The Triple Berry Cake Jars are now a favorite of the household as well. My sister absolutely loved the cake too.I ordered the small size, and it was plenty for 5 of us, with about half left over (which will be eaten quickly). The shop is very cute and clean, and the staff are all extremely friendly and kind!I definitely need to try the pies next.
Amazing coffee and chocolate brownie!!
