Buster's Original Southern BBQ

Don’t waste your time and money here. Tried it after a wine tour. Overpriced and dry meats. Had the 3 meat comb - took the tri tip, the pulled pork and the pork ribs and also the 3 beef rib special. The red meats were too tough to eat. Shocked and surprised that they could not cook the meat tender.

I expected more of the bbq being served in the Napa Valley. This is the second worst food experiences in the Napa Valley I've had, the first being a place known for fried chicken but they ended up serving chicken that wasn't cooked thoroughly, and it was super disappointing because we ended up at McDonald's before the Kenny G affair. Back to the bbq...the side sizes were super small, they served sides in tiny containers which I would've expected to pump condiments in such as ketchup, mustard or any other dip sauces. I ordered the slaw and chili beans. The slaw was decent, the chili beans tasted nothing like chili beans, instead it tasted like bland, boiled beans. The main course was a 3 meats combo, tri tip, pork ribs and half a chicken. The chicken was dry!!! Some parts were so dry I couldn't even mess with it. The tri tip was tender but completely lacked flavor. The pork ribs were the wrong cut of ribs to use, way too much fat, not enough meat, not tender AT ALL, the top layer was crispy, kinda stringy and then came the fat and working my way through to the very little meat
....one of the worst ribs I've had. I didn't even finish one rib.When you bite into a rib all you should feel is meat and a little fat to accompany it and it should be tender.When I got there the smokey smell in the air was enticing but then they served the food. All foods in Napa Valley should be ON POINT!! I don't feel like I should walk away from the Napa Valley thinking, I can cook better than this. I still have the leftover food in the container, my husband was like, it must be bad because you're not even offering a taste. My chickens will eat well today. I had to give one star for the food but if it were up to me I'd give tons of negative stars.

Had high expectations and wanted to love this place. We could smell bbq which usually is a good sign. Unfortunately, the chicken was dryer than cardbord and the flavor was missing and somewhat salty. I think the chicken is extremely dry because they are putting bricks on it after it is done or somewhere during the cooking process. The bbq sauce was also bland. I would suggest basting the meat during the cooking process and do not put weight on the meat so the juices can escape. They were pleasant and have us a refund.

2 item combo 3 pork ribs ( more like riblets ) 3 beef ribs ( or should I say beef bones with maybe some meat sinew ,ligaments and fat . with 2 sides of beans in bbq sauce and flavorless potato salad .” fresh “lemonade ( yeah right - I know Hi C ) 1 cookie . grand total $ 50.00 plus total , not worth the price . forgot to mention the sides are ridiculously small , 2 oz . I was so disgusted . do not recommend to anyone , and for those that give this place 5 stars , you probably had to much wine .

This place is SO GOOD! Super friendly, super fast, SUPER DELICIOUS!!!! I always get the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad, and it is just off the hook. Don't ask questions, just go. You can thank me later ?

We were excited to try the BBQ in Calistoga during our stay and ordered the 2-item combo of chicken and pork ribs. While we chose outdoor dining, we were disappointed to see that there was no active BBQ happening around 5 PM. The chicken was dry, as if it had been cooked days before, which was a letdown. Additionally, the outdoor area had quite a few flies, and our seating was near trash bins, which detracted from the experience. Overall, it didn’t quite meet our expectations.

Been wanting to go here for awhile based on what we've seen from our car drive-by. Sadly we were disappointed. The meats we had were dry except for the pulled pork. The potato salad and coke slaw were on though. We were not impressed and would not come back
