Walked in at 8:30 to place a to-go order waited at the counter until 8:45 until finally somebody came out to take my order and then they tell me it's too late to place an order just kind of frustrating you know

Just tried La Prima Pizza and I have questions. Mostly about whether the chef has ever actually met a pizza before.

The crust had the structural integrity of a Saltine that lost the will to live. I tapped it and I’m pretty sure it tapped back. If you like your pizza with the mouthfeel of a burnt Red Baron you forgot in the oven during a 2007 World of Warcraft LAN Party argument, this place has you covered.

And the meatballs… I’m not saying they were bad, but if you microwaved a handful of gummy bears and rolled them in regret, you’d be getting pretty close.

On the bright side, if you ever need emergency roofing shingles, La Prima’s crust could probably handle the job.

I found this place on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and stopped for a quick bite! Had the fish n chips and a local beer. Fish was tender and not over cooked. The batter was still crispy without any extra oil from the fryer. Definitely worth a stop. Their Pizza looked delicious but just too much food for me so I went with the fish! Thank you for your hospitality!

I have to say that this one spot has forever made a place in my heart, childhood, and family and never once have I ever complained of the food, staff, or atmosphere that it had to offer

Wow, very sad experience. I just moved to Calistoga and was hoping to find an excellent pizza shop with all the old money around here. Apparently that’s all this town has to offer, is food for old boomers. Sad, very disappointing.. When I first walked in I asked to sit at the bar, sat there by myself in an empty “Storage” room full of pizza boxes and unwanted bar stools, waiting 15mins for service from the gentleman at the host stand saying he would be right with me, I finally was able to order a very flat draft beer and personal pepperoni pizza. Pizza bland and dough, taste of flour still coats my mouth, paired with the beer as flat as my mother in law after 3 kids. only other diners were 5 women in their 90s that maybe wanted something to wash their pills down with.. very very disappointed.. All I heard in the background is chatter of the family running the business, no music, no ambience and absolutely no reason to come back.

I recently had lunch here and the experience overall was good. The food, the people, the overall maintenance was on point. The only complaint I had were the flies - there were lots of flies buzzing around the restaurant, we were annoyed by them as were the other guests who one party even got a fly swatter (possibly from the restaurant?) and we're attempting to solve the problem themselves.
