We stopped in on Sunday January 19 after seeing the sandwich board advertising on the Main Street. The place was busy, but they were able to seat the three of us at the bar.
What a treat we got! Sitting at the bar, we were able to watch the cooks make magic in what is a pretty small kitchen. We were there for”happy hour”; two of us ordered re Aperol Spritzer while I ordered the house red ($10/glass during happy hour!)
For appetizers…we had the fried provolone and Mama’s...
I was throughly disgusted by my meal this weekend in Calistoga. I ate here once before and returned because my meal last time was good. This year I ordered the Bolonase and it was terrible. It had almost no red sauce on it. And while the waitress brought me a side dish of marina it didn’t alleviate the issue of grease in the dish. I poured 2tablespoons of grease out of the bowl onto the bread plate. I tried to eat some of the bowl of bolonase (because I was hungry) but...

They are not allowed to use a coal fired oven so it is not quite the real deal but I give 5 stars because this is the closest you can get to real deal pizza in Cali!
