Amazing sushi! The rolls are great and the bento box is delicious. The owners Jose and Renee are wonderful people. Best restaurant in Calistoga.

What a delicious place to eat Sebastian you really know how to pick some rolls for some hungry people. You did a great job and I really appreciate the hot sauce. Keep up the good work superstar and also I cannot leave this review without thinking the people that make the sushi you guys made some really delicious rolls thank you so much. I enjoyed eating there when I traveled to Calistoga. I’ll make sure to stop in and have some delicious sushi.

Sushi mambo has rolls we have never seen before and we're very tasty. Service was a bit down due to staffing but out table outside made the wait manageable.

The best sushi restaurant in the Valley and perhaps even in the world. Every time I go back to home to Napa, I drive up to Calistoga and order the same sushi rolls. The Phoenix, great balls of fire, Diablo, cheese so beautiful and the ninja.

Service was a bit slow, but we weren’t in a hurry. Everything we ate was fantastic. We love sushi and this place didn’t disappoint on our trip to Calistoga!

This establishment, owned by two, spectacular people, is a must-stop for anyone visiting the upper end of Napa County!

The service is spectacular, the ambiance, authentic, and the food...

Sushi Mambo was quite a disappointment to us. I am Japanese and born and raised in the San Francisco area where we have access to great Sushi restaurants. Good sushi starts with good rice. The sushi rice was much firmer than customary. This is due to improper cooking or poor quality rice. The sushi rice was either drastically under seasoned or not seasoned at all. Good sushi also requires quality fish. What we were served was either not fresh or just low quality. It lacked flavor and texture. A large part of a quality sushi restaurant is the presentation. It seems that the staff is unaware of how Maki rolls should be prepared, cut, and presented. Again a large disappointment. The service was adequate and because we had a dog, we dined outdoors so I cannot comment about the atmosphere although I did venture into the restaurant to use the bathroom and was unimpressed with the dacor. It seems to me that whomever designed the interior of the restaurant had little to no guidance or expertise. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal.

My husband made fun of me for booking a sushi place in Conestoga but by the end of this dinner he was thanking me. This was possibly the best dinner of our entire vacation. From the appetizers to the rolls to the bento box, everything we ordered was delish. And the staff was very nice and kind as one of the members of our party had had a bit too much wine at our tastings. It is a small restaurant but the tables have plenty of room. My husband ordered the beef teriyaki as part of his bento box. I rarely eat beef but the beef was so tender and tasty, I might order it myself next time we are here! Do NOT miss out on this sushi. And the beef teriyaki.

We enjoyed the outdoor seating! Great food, decent prices and the waiter was attentive but not super chatty—WIN! Would definitely recommend.

We had reservations at this restaurant and were seated immediately. It’s a casual ambiance. We ordered the pork gyoza and three rolls - Diablo, Sabba-dabba-doo and the Venus roll. The rolls were good but messy, they could’ve been rolled a little tighter.

I went with my mom and 4 year old daughter who actually is under the spectrum(autistic) and when we entered, my daughter immediately touched the table where an asian lady was placing the paper, she said don't touch and did not even welcome us to sit so I almost left but I know my mom did not noticed the situation as she was excited to come to visit me and eat the sushi place I talked about it so i decided it to stay but was not interested in ordering anything nor I enjoyed it. The same lady came over a few minutes later to offer the menu but I did noticed she was being polite to other people entering the restaurant. I know the staff behind the counter noticed the interaction's when we arrived and the other people entering so purely did see what it was more appealing for her to entertain. I will no go back again nor ask my family and friends who traveled locally or globally and will not recommended it anyone to go because of the experience. It is not the only sushi place nor the best but there are far better ones in Los Angeles with better service experience and quality.
