No family friendly. Did not allow enter with toddler but several years ago we could attend with baby.
We wanted visited that place again because we liked it. There was more horses this place than now and I did not see any cats. Hope they did not benned them too.
Great food, ambiance, always accommodating. Love bringing my dog as it is extremely pet friendly. Had a blast at the Octoberfest event.
Nice service, dog friendly, and amazing wine!! We love their Chardonnay
Unpleasant experience at Tamber Bey Vineyard when visiting earlier this month. The whole visit soured immediately upon entering when the host (Robert) informed us that our 5month old baby and dog were not technically allowed in the facility but begrudgingly served us anyway. Notably, we had called ahead to confirm that the vineyard was both pet and baby friendly, and the host’s condescending tone did not change when we explained this. Wines were average, the rest of the staff was pleasant enough. Plenty of other vineyards and tasting rooms in the area. Had we known what an inconvenience our calm and quiet baby would have been, we could have gone elsewhere.
First I would like to say that my experience two years ago was amazing when visiting the vineyard and upon my visit I became an EQQEine Club member. I have remained a member for the last two years and have enjoyed the wine and recommended the vineyard to friends when visiting the area. I have recently needed to cancel my membership due to some life changes but have been unsuccessful with getting any communication back from the EQQWine Club Manager on if I have been removed from the program, it’s been almost a month and many emails have gone unanswered. I was hoping this would just be a short break from my membership but this is shedding a different light on their customer service.
We loved our visit to Tamber Bey! It’s dog friendly, has a cute tasting room or you can taste in their courtyard, lots of choices for tastings, and beautiful horses! It was a wonderful afternoon for our first day in Calistoga.
Tamber Bay is one of the most stunning wineries I’ve ever seen. Set on acres of land in the foothills of surrounding mountains, it felt like a quintessential winery moment. They have some of the airs in accessible stalls to interact with. The absolute highlight was our tasting with Cher. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines we were drinking and gave real-life takeaways for making more sense of the wine selection in grocery stores. Truly phenomenal experience. Was also dog friendly and had indoor options for the very hot day.
Tamber Bey Vineyards, with its name a charming combination honoring the winery founders' first Arabian horses, offers a unique experience that goes beyond just delicious wines. Their philosophy of equating the art of winemaking with the pursuit of horsemanship - both requiring skill, refinement, and an appreciation for nature's beauty - was evident in every aspect of our visit.
My friend and I recently bought the Covet Wine Pass. Tamber Bey is one of the 13 wineries in the Napa/Sonoma area that accepts this pass. While their courtyard wine tasting experiences typically range from $50-$75 per person and include 5-6 tastings, our pass provided us with a complimentary tasting.
The moment we stepped onto the property, we were enchanted. The beautiful courtyard, surrounded by stables, exuded a true horse ranch vibe. The horseshoe used as a paperweight for the tasting sheet was a delightful touch. And while we were there, we were lucky enough to see some of the gorgeous horses up close - they were incredibly gentle and well-behaved!
Our sommelier, Richard, was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the winery's history and provided a fascinating tour of the wine production facility (upon request). He even went above and beyond our complimentary tasting, offering us additional pours of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (we ended up loving the Cab so much we bought a bottle!).
The tasting itself was a delightful journey through Tamber Bey's offerings. We started with the crisp and refreshing 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, followed by the Chardonnay 2023, a stainless steel fermented wine with a playful personality and hints of orange blossom and candied pear.
The 2023 Rosé from Lake County was another winner, bursting with fresh strawberry and watermelon rind flavors.
Next, we moved on to the 2022 Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. This one showcased bright flavors of tart cherry and candied pomegranate, rhubard, and fresh anise.
The Rabicano 2021, a Bordeaux blend, was a complex and powerful wine, while the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from their estate's Deux Chevaux Vineyard, was a truly memorable experience.
The atmosphere at Tamber Bey was peaceful and uncrowded, especially for a Saturday morning. There were just a few groups, allowing us to fully enjoy the ambiance and Richard's expertise.
If you're looking for a winery that offers more than just a tasting, Tamber Bey Vineyards is a must-visit. The combination of delicious wines, a beautiful horse ranch setting, and an incredibly knowledgeable staff creates an unforgettable experience.
Landed here after a while of no luck searching for a pet friendly establishment on a last minute road trip to wine country. Arriving without reservations and just in time for a last tasting, we were welcome with open arms and it was such a relief to a dog mom of a 70+lb Goldendoodle. We enjoyed our tasting and were just so happy to have somewhere beautiful and welcoming to stretch out our legs, doodle included.
Beautiful grounds with a gorgeous view of Mt. St. Helena. The tasting area is spacious enough for the seating areas to be spread out comfortably throughout terrace/garden and along the stables. Amazing hospitality, delicious wine and intriguing property history. We cannot wait to go back!
Tamber Bey has become one of our favorite wineries! A superb setting, incredible wines, and an extremely helpful and accommodating staff all contribute to making TB a very special place. Kudos to Kendra Waite for her invaluable assistance managing our EQQWine Club membership and coordinating our recent visit with a large group of friends (all of whom were blown away by the experience), and to John Bling for his energy, enthusiasm, and wine knowledge while hosting our group. They're both wonderful ambassadors for Tamber Bey. We're already looking forward to a return visit!

We came here for a wine tasting and the guy here was so amazing and sat with us and explained everything about the wines, was so knowledgeable about everything and shared the story of the wines and the horses and the rescue. Their story is lovely and the service was so great. This is a really great place to come and relax and try amazing wines with good company and staff
A family-owned vineyard and horse ranch in Calistoga that closed to host our company for a wine tasting last week. Everyone absolutely loved it! Great service and really beautiful setting.
Staff was superb: Robert, Ray, and Cher were such a pleasure to be around and very attentiv,e yet gave my date and me plenty of space to enjoy our afternoon together.Oh and the wine was 9.5/10From the Rosé - the Merlot everything was amazing!
Amazing experience at the Tamber Bey Vineyards! The wines were delicious and the place gives very cozy vibes. Very dog friendly. You can sip wine and say hi to their beautiful horses too.
Tamber Bey has become our favorite winery after traveling to Napa annually for a decade - beautiful tasting courtyard with amazing views, friendly and helpful staff, and incredible wine. We recommend the Rabicano, a beautiful Bordeaux style blend, Oakville Cabernet, and Delacruz Cab from Calistoga. Plenty of white wine options as well.
