SUNDAY FOOD REVIEW...CAGAMI RAMEN...12/14/25!\n\nToday we went to Cagami Ramen, located at 1855 E. Daily Dr., in Camarillo, CA, for lunch. Scott and I split our lunches. I had their Katsu Pork and Shrimp Set, with white rice, and cilantro, and Scott had their Kaarage Bowl, which is lightly salted deep fried chicken on white rice, with sesame seeds. I have to say, I was very impressed with this little restaurant!!! Their food is DELICIOUS!!!! Both of us thoroughly enjoyed everything!!!!...
The recipe is very disciplined in Korean and Japanese broth techniques. Though the restaurant interior comes off Japanese, the side dish of red pepper paste (Gochujang 고추장) threw me off when I ordered the tsukumen. Again the dish was tasty and very well disciplined in its salt levels and flavors. The tonkotsu ramen tasted Korean broth but Japanese texture. This was an incredible fusion that I respect a lot.
