We wanted to try this place for a while. Nice place was pretty normal for Mexican food. My wife ordered shrimp tacos, which she liked. I ordered a mini chile verde burrito and a cheese enchilada with green sauce. The chile verde was a bit salty, and the green sauce was a little thicker than I like. I'm sure we'll give it another try, before we totally rule this place out...

It was recently explained to me that this is a Mexican style seafood restraurant, not just a common taco shop. Don't get me wrong, their tacos are still pretty good. However, tonight with my new understanding of their fare, I decided to try something new and ended up falling in love with the Chili Peppers Piña! (Seafood stew served in a pineapple) Of course with a classic margarita.

Casual atmosphere, service was okay, limited menu, large portions, and the food was fresh, but average/nothing special. Margaritas were good in size, but too much ice or watered down. The main reason we would ever return here is because it's close by not because we were impressed. Disappointed it wasn't better because it would've been great to have local go to spot so nearby.

Decided to visit a new restaurant, ordered the combination plate with one mini burrito verde(pork) one mini burrito rojo(beef) both good taste, my favorite the verde, if in Camarillo worth a visit.

Food is always excellent! Service has always been great. Carlos and the other employees make us feel welcome every time we visit, which is about every other week. Had the Pina Plate = Seafood with vegetables covered in Cheese served in a pineapple!! WOW!! Delicious!! Taco/enchilada combo. Yummm!!

Bad service, The waiter who took my order never arrived with my tortillas, I ordered my tortillas with another waiter and asked for water, the tortillas arrived and my water arrived when I left.
We have been going here for years, although not as much since they changed their hours. The food was always good, the service spotty but ok. We decided to try it again the other day. It was the weirdest visit. We felt as if we were an imposition. We came in, no real greeting. There were about five different tables occupied on one side of the restaurant. We were seated in an empty section all the way in the back next to a prep area. We asked to be seated in a different area. The host put us in a different spot, slapped down two menus and walked off. That was the last we saw of him or a server. After fifteen minutes we just left. I've never been in a restaurant where I felt we weren't wanted there. It's a very uncomfortable feeling. Very strange vibe. We went up the street to a different Mexican restaurant where we were greeted so nicely and served by an excellent server, very cheerful and seemed genuinely happy to help us. I don't know what going on with Chili Peppers but I can tell you I'm never going back there.

We really enjoyed the food here. I had the Don Julio Margarita and it was perfect! The Fajitas Chili Peppers had some good quality ingredients and tasted fine, but I couldn't help but miss some of the traditional condiments that typically come with fajitas such as sour cream and guacamole. The service was professional and low key, but not really welcoming or friendly. The restaurant itself seemed like a higher caliber place and definitely looked the part with a very nice bar area and well maintained seating area.
