I ordered chicken wings: half Buffalo, and the other half Lemon Pepper. The Buffalo flavor was good, but the lemon pepper was gross. It was more like mustard (see picture). I also ordered a michilada. I did expect the extra charge for the michi mix, but they also charge for the glass cup they pour it in (not a take home cup either)!Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The environment is very much a cantina.I will likely return if invited, not just because.

Very good food but not enough waitresses for the crowd they had in there. Kitchen lights behind on making lunches because of the number of orders. It could have been a fluke day but I would definitely go back for the food.

Food was delicious, guacamole was to die for, atmosphere was hip and the alcohol-bottle chandeliers were so cool! It wasn’t busy at 7:00pm Friday night, but the DJ was arriving at 9:00pm and we didn’t stay for the fun. We will definitely return to this cool find in old Camarillo!

Let's start with this, no chips?? Really? I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that did not bring out chips to start.I had the Enchiladas (with red sauce) and paid $6 more to add chicken. There was barely any sauce which made the chicken a bit dry. The beans were the best part and the rice was bland.The server was cordial and pleasant but never came to ask how everything was once the meal was served. I was the only one eating. The other handful of local customers were enjoying drinks......and the attention of the server.Atmosphere was cozy and ok. Beer selection, extremely limited.

Disappointed. We came in hoping to enjoy the football game with some beer and food, but all 3 wait staff seemed to be focusing on other things, even though the restaurant had maybe 7 guests. No one greeted us, so we grabbed a couple menus and sat down. The wait staff saw us but didn't walk over or say anything. After waiting for a bit, we just put the menus back and left.

I go to El Rey after work with a co-worker to have a drink and some food. The best part is that it's always a cool environment throughout the whole day even when it gets crazy packed. The owners, the bartenders, the waitresses and the cooks are friendly and welcoming. It's the only spot in Cam that I go to now. Check it out!Parking: Enter through the back and there's plenty of parking. Even if you park on the side street, it's a very short walk.Kid-friendliness: The owners and staff are awesome. It's definitely kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: They don't have steps to either entrance, so a wheel chair is not an issue.
Taco Tuesday. Great prices, great food, fantastic margaritas. The shrimp tacos were so good. Salsa yummy. Service on top of it . Will definitely be back.
