Located Inside Hidden Cafe, is a hidden gem! I wasn't sure what to eat tonight and i've seen J&J Island BBQ on Yelp and finally gave it a go. I was a little hesitant to order here at first to be honest. There were no pictures or reviews and the website seemed limited to a few menu items, but honestly if you never try anything new how will you ever know if you'd like it or not. I ordered the Marinated Chicken Plate with a side of rice and mac salad. The chicken was marinated nicely and it was not dry at all. They gave me a side of something unknown. It looked like pita bread at first glance, I ripped a lil piece off and ate it with my chicken and realized it was not pita bread lol. Whatever it was, it was yummy. It tasted like a flatbread pancake, that looks like pita bread, I don't know how to describe it. All I know is it was a yummy sweet treat after my meal! I enjoyed trying something new today and I will definitely be back!!

Had a decent breakfast with friends. At least ten minutes after being seated before anyone came to get our drink order by which time we were ready to place our order. Food was OK, but the shock came when we received our check. A 20% fee had been added!!! We all are used to tipping generously, but for an establishment to add 20% to a bill is outrageous! We will no be back.

Actually, this is 2 reviews of recent visits. It was yesterday's visit that prompted this review. On our first visit, my wife and I split a heavy, but very tasty cinnamon roll. She had omelets each visit. The first, a cheese omelet, was "standard good" and the second she reports as "excellent." Also, her hash browns were "about average" on her first visit and "very good" yesterday. My oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar was fine and it was accompanied by a huge cup of good hot chocolate. On our second visit visit I had a roast beef sandwich with onions and green chile. It was a huge disappointment. The roast beef was okay, but the accompanying and abundant (good for them) chile and onions were oily and greasy. I could only eat half the sandwich. I will return to the restaurant—but will not order the roast beef in the future.
