Well, the truth is, I wanted to try the food at this restaurant, the dishes we chose were very good tasting, but in the end it was not what we wanted, but what the waitress said, the service was terrible, I was really very disappointed by the way the waitress serves the customers and the poor way of bringing the dishes to the table, when paying I did not include the tip, (I did not receive good service) which bothered the waitress or owner, who in a way She rudely warned us that if we wanted to order food from that restaurant again, she would only sell us takeaway, don't worry, I WILL NOT RETURN.

Delicious every time! Live the sesame balls they give you! The chow mein and fried rice is a must! All the food is so fresh and seasoned well!

My wife and I went to this lil joint a day or two ago to give it a try. So I'll start by saying the strip mall where it's located, had no lights on, which was weird. So you're walking up to this place is the dark, you can barely know it's open. The food was meh.. we were disappointed by the fact that you had to order white rice separately. (Come on it's a chinese restaurant..add the white rice to the entrees and charge a little more) I bring this up, because we assumed white rice would come with our entrees... nope, so we had to order rice AFTER our entrees came out. The staff was friendly I'll admit, we sat and enjoyed what appeared or sounded like yelling in the kitchen between two women (seriously it was entertaining) we both wished we spoke chinese some could have understood the yelling. Now I know for some people they love this place, there were a table of 4 young men behind us who we overheard raving about how good the place was. I loved hearing that, however, our palate was not overly impressed.I always want local businesses to succeed and I would bump up my review 1 star if the rice came out with the entrees. Good luck!

Good for the area due to lack of choices in Camarillo. They seem content to be takeout only because the ambience to dine in is not inviting. Suggestion to owners if you want to increase dine in patrons and just make your plce look more appealing - turn on the lights inside, especially the individual booth lights and put up a screen or planter separating the dine in area from the lobby and cash register

Hold in the wall place. Don't expect much ambiance. Food was great! That's why you're there. Service was fast! Severed 14 of us!

I went to lunch at this establishment. It was empty, no one was there and it was about noon. I ask was it open and the lady said they were open. The service was good. I ordered Spring Rolls, Spare Ribs, individual bed of rice along with a family plate (shrimp, chicken, beef type stir fry) which came to about $43. Very cost friendly. The food was average, and I have had better at other Chinese cuisine. But not bad if ur looking for a quick bite to eat. Also, silverware and glassware wasn't very clean.

Got off the freeway on a road trip to go to a nearby burger place. Burger place had limited inside seating, all taken, and it was too cold to eat outside. We drove through the shopping center and picked this restaurant. Service was quick and efficient. Atmosphere was a little boring. Clean and neat, but seating is only along the walls, so there's just a big open space in the middle. The food was really good though. My husband and I shared a Won Ton Soup (2 person portion) and a Chicken with Cashew entree and each got a side order of rice. The soup was great, lots of veggies, plus chicken, pork, and shrimp in it. The broth was a lot richer than other places I had it. The cashew chicken was excellent as well. Also, the only cost difference vs the burger meals was only about $2-3 per person. Well worth it to sit in comfort with full service and a much healthier meal. We'll definitely keep them in mind for a meal if we're in the area again.

Mongolian beef, orange chicken, fried rice, beef and broccoli were very good. Ordered takeout for our Thanksgiving dinner, good sized portions and everyone enjoyed the food.

My favorite Chinese food in Ventura County. It's sooo delicious. Not much else to say.... I always get take out. They seem nice though and I have no complaints. It's a small place but seems very clean and they are quick to make the food. I definitely recommend!

We use to eat at Sesame Gardens all the time when they first opened in Camarillo. I think the food has gone downhill. We went there last night and the only dish we liked was the Sweet and Pungent Shrimp. The other dishes were just so-so. The restaurant has no atmosphere and all we could hear was the boom boom music from the dance studio next door. We had the mu-shu pork and ran out of plum sauce and they charged for more. I use to love this place but not last night. What happened?

The restaurant's decor was tastefully done, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The menu at Sesame Garden offers a diverse range of dishes, and I was impressed by the quality of the food. The flavors were rich and authentic, showcasing a genuine passion for Asian cuisine. The sesame chicken I ordered was particularly outstanding, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations. They made sure that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.Additionally, the pricing was reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality of food and service provided. Whether you're a fan of Chinese, Japanese, or other Asian cuisines, Sesame Garden Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.Overall, I highly recommend Sesame Garden Restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience with delicious Asian cuisine in a welcoming environment.
