I have bin a Starbucks gold member for over 10 years now, and on average get a coffee 2 or 3 times a month. I love how friendly the baristas typically are, and how eager they are to help you.
I had an instant soup and needed a cup of hot water. In other Starbucks locations in the past they have givin it with out even charging, but I would have bin happy to pay having in mind I'm taking there time, hot cup, and water.
They told me there policy is not to give out hot water!!!
After arguing for a few minutes they suggested paying $3.25 for a cup of tea, and they can skip the tea bag.
I understand that they probably have a lot of homeless, and creaps who scare away there customers. I can appreciate a policy Carmen to cut back at this, how ever, not having a way to purchase a cup of hot water is ridiculous.

Omfg US customer service is abysmal, but 5 minutes at the front of the queue as the servers inside kept looking out but not serving. Unbelievable!!!

Great spot to rest while you shop. Note that there are no indoor seating and no power outlets. So if you work here, that might be a problem.
If you’re shopping, stop here. You have the time. If you’re driving on the freeway, don’t stop here. Super slow. Not where GPS said it was. It’s a freestanding coffee counter, not a full store. Must not clean containers as my drink tasted like fruit strawberry when I ordered brown sugar oat milk, a non-fruit drink
