My salad was perfect with a little crunch to sweetness! I paired it with a sweet cocktail and I didn't write down the name of them. Thank you to JR and Rebecca who made my visit a memorable one. I sat close to the window so I could enjoy the natural light outside. With the help of my waitress, she made a perfect pick! Looking forward to bringing my husband so he can enjoy the experience as I did.

2.5 stars is probably the most accurate rating for our experience. Had very high expectations only to be let down pretty much across the board. The food is ok at best. We got the tuna tartare appetizer and it was at least half cucumber. For every piece of tuna there 2-3 chunks of cucumber, not what I was expecting for $16. The drinks were hit or miss. Out of the 4 we ordered 1 was very good, 1 was ok, and the other 2 were disappointing. I had the pork chop that came with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts while my wife got the sea scallop and lobster risotto. My pork chop was cooked and seasoned well, however the sides were incredibly bland. My wife's food was completely unseasoned to the point where it was basically inedible. We asked for salt and pepper and after seasoning it ourselves were able to eat most of it. Very disappointing. The space itself is pretty nice with lots of different seating options (outside tables, bar seating, etc...) and it was too loud. The staff were interesting. The hostess seemed super confused when we said we didn't have a reservation, even though their website doesn't work at all so making an online reservation wasn't possible. The server was friendly enough, but it took awhile for our drinks to hit the table after they were made and sitting on the bar. Overall it just wasn't a good enough experience to justify the price. Doubt we'll be back, there are definitely better options in the area.

Love the vibe, staff and food but wish they could mix up the veggie side options. Love the guitar player on Fridays but it's super hard to hear dinner conversation if you sit close to the artist.

Twenty 88 Food and Drink is a wonderful restaurant. The whole staff is attentive and superior. My husband and I have traveled the world and found the servers Jessica and Kameron outstanding. They always make sure you get what you want as quickly as possible. The cheerful Jorita, the host, greets you. Jorita goes out of her way to show you a good seat in the restaurant, which has a great atmosphere inside and out. The owner is lovely, and she greets the customers with a smile on her face and a sparkling personality. Last and most important is the excellent food. I have never tasted a better rib eye steak or Chilean Seabass. The desserts are to die for; I had better be careful, or I would gain too much weight. My husband and I highly recommend this restaurant for the food, atmosphere, and people who are there.

First, let me say that I very rarely leave bad reviews, but the rating here is very inflated. This review is based on two recent visits and a few dozen over the years. It used to be a pretty decent spot for upscale-casual dining, but now the food is just bad and overpriced (and I'm pretty familiar with this price point). No seasoning or flavor, unless you enjoy a cup of overpowering sauce for dinner. If you were to send back both dishes, what would come back? There'd have to be a different chef. It was like "mistakes in home-cooking" level. However, the daytime and dinner atmosphere are both great (better than ever) - maybe for apps or drinks?

I came here with two friends last weekend on a Saturday early afternoon. We were at the farmer's market and decided to try this place for lunch. My first time here ( new to Camarillo) and I really want to eat at local restaurants. We had a few cocktails ( delicious) .. food was really, really good. We had the Brussels sprouts ( a must try) a steak salad, fish entree and pasta dish. The food was delicious. Our waitress was attentive and kind. It wasn't super busy but the ambiance was crisp and clean! I really prefer a more lively atmosphere but the food was good so I might come back on a Friday or Saturday night and see if it's more lively!

I come here every time I’m in the area. I love the food and staff. The biggest negative about this restaurant is the strong smell of cleaning fluid- it takes way the dining experience in my opinion. I respect that they keep the restaurant clean, however, they should use a less potent cleaning

We haven't been there in quite a while because they took so many of the items we really liked off the menu! The lobster bisque is good as is the barata salad. They don't have the cheese plate or the baked oysters or the civiche. The martinis are delicious and Cameron is a great waiter. I do miss going there but it's too expensive and I would rather go somewhere else that has a bigger selection! Sincerely, Terry S.

The Service was great very friendly BUT the food was not what I expected due to the fact that they presentation of the food in the pictures it looks very appetizing however, I'm not sure why this place is very overrated the food taste we had to ask for the check and leave immediately although we appreciated the friendly service

lovely place in old Camarillo. The food is consistently good and the menu is interesting and fun. It is our go to place for meeting up with friends and family. While it's a little on the expensive side it's worth the treat. Good weather sit outside it's great for people watching, the inside is very accommodating and nicely decorated. Even the bar during certain times is fun depending on the crowd I love their appetizers and their martinis are delicious. Always have had great servers with pleasant attitudes.
