I've been coming here years since 1983, as do many from the Base and pilots out of the County. My son when home on military Leave loves it here.
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere.

I frequently visit this cafe with my coworkers whenever we’re in the mood for delicious burgers at lunch. On workdays, it gets quite busy and there’s often a line, but it moves quickly and efficiently. The menu has a wide variety of appealing lunch and brunch options. I recently tried the Serrano burger with a milkshake—both were great and nicely prepared. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The French fries were also impressive: crispy, well-seasoned, and flavorful.
Overall, this is a wonderful spot to share a great meal with family, friends, or colleagues. The interior and outdoor dining areas are consistently clean and well maintained. Staff are always kind, attentive, and eager to help. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Place is good. But they make you order right when you enter the door. Makes ordering with a big party difficult and off putting. Why do I need to pick my whole meal within 2 minutes of arriving? The experience felt very rushed.

You have to pay AND tip before being seated. I adjust tips based on service, how are you supposed to know what the service will be like before you are seated?
Top notch everything 🤌🏼
Everything was great! The general vibes and service were so good it almost felt kind of retro, and the food was great too (milk shake especially was classic excellence). Super friendly to our puppy (gave her some much deserved bacon!) and seemed super friendly to kids too (they also had a place for them to run around, not to mention the airplanes) so overall great place for a family!

I’ve been coming to waypoint for many years, but yesterday changed my mind. I flew in there and an employee named. Leslie refused to sit us down. Instead, she made us go to the front and pre-pay for our meal, I found this really disgusting and I felt discriminated against not sure why and don’t want to get into any reasons, but I’ll just leave it at that. She told us this was a new rule so we ordered at the front, but as we sat down, we witnessed many people come in and being sat with Leslie and other waiters when I questioned her about this, she said that it it’s about who you know, and I expressed my concerns how this feel very inhumane and she just nudged. I just spoke to the manager and she didn’t really care at all. I’m not ever coming back here again.

Waypoint is just one of those places that you keep coming back to. As you sit there taking in the surroundings and feeling the cool breeze blowing off the ocean, you can't help but feel like you're on vacation somewhere that isn't in the middle of Camarillo! Service is always excellent and everyone is very friendly. Marcello was our server on this occasion, as well as on past visits, and he is just awesome! Whether you are here for breakfast or lunch, the food is always solid and they also offer good-sized portions. Lines can be long on the weekend and around lunch time during the week, however, it moves pretty quickly and it's worth the wait. Cool vibes inside, with music in the background, & sipping on a cold beer watching helicopters and planes come and go...what more can you ask for :)
Went for a special occasion and had not been there for a bit. The worst part is ordering before you even sit down. Just like mcdonalds
The Waypoint Cafe is located at the edge of the Camarillo Airport. the planes there are small private aircraft. The restaurant is so popular that we had to park in a lot across the street. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. If we had wanted to be seated outside, the wait would have been at least twice that. A nice feature of the cafe is that the servers all help each other. However, the last of our breakfast orders was served 15 minutes after the others. We had to ask twice for a side order of bacon. The food was quite good. We enjoyed Belgian waffles, French toast and a breakfast burrito served on a plate-sized tortilla.
love the planes hate how loud it is.
