Amazing food and very welcoming atmosphere. All of the food was amazing with great vegan options for those seeking this for some of their dining party.

Cute location, friendly owner and excellent food. My husband and I had the garlic bread. Stuffed pepper with veggies, eggplant Parmesan followed by vegan vanilla gelato with blackberries. All were delicious. Making a reservation was simple via email. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-17

Out of everything, I felt like you were only allowed to order what the waitress wanted the cook to prepare...

Grossly overpriced food was sub par.I’ve never been to a restaurant that charged individually for everything including salads and bread that should go with the meal. Pets were allowed in as well. A lasagna plate and a pasta plate with 2 sodas 2 salads was $92.00 over a hundred dollars with tip. Ridiculous!!

We had dinner at this Italian restaurant and, while the service was friendly, several things were disappointing, especially considering we paid over $100 for only 2 dishes and 2 glasses of wine.

We are Italian, and we know that food can be prepared in many different ways and that recipes vary — but even so:
• The lasagna was overcooked and also cold, to the point where it felt like I was eating purée.
I didn’t mention it at the moment out of politeness, as the server was very kind.
• The vegetables on the side were almost raw, which wasn’t pleasant to eat.
• The portions were very small — we were still hungry after finishing our plates, which should not happen at this price.
• The wine was served in a water glass, which is surprising in an Italian restaurant.
• On a positive note, the sauce was good.

What I regret the most is seeing that negative reviews often receive defensive replies instead of real self-reflection.
A negative comment isn’t meant to attack — it’s meant to help you improve, even if you have many years of experience.

Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but definitely not worth the price we paid.
Could be better.

Absolutely disgusting and rude behavior by the woman working there. We went in on a Sunday evening at 5 o’clock to get some dinner after taking our daughter’s senior pictures up in Cambria. There were five people in the entire restaurant, and the woman stood to the side In her N 95 mask and rolled silverware and wouldn’t even look at us, annoyed we even walked through the door. She asked if we had a reservation, and we said no. (There were many open tables so we didn’t think it’d be a problem to eat, apparently we couldn’t have been more wrong). She then saw our seven-year-old and rudely said we don’t seat kids under 10. We said oh we did not realize we just saw the sign on the door as we walked in so are we not allowed to eat here, and she said “Um, no bye” Unbelievably rude behavior and while I get not wanting young children at a restaurant, she could’ve handled that With so much more respect and understood we didn’t know that rule until after we had walked through the door. If this is the businesses policy, maybe put it on your webpage when people look up places to eat in Cambria. What you shouldn’t get to do is be disgusting and rude to anyone who didn’t know that and walks through that door with a child. We didn’t know that rule (no children) it wasn’t anywhere on the website or Google, And it was our first time wanting to try this place. This place I’m sure has great food, but she will be chasing people out forever by her attitude alone. Disgusting. EDIT**** I have gone on here to the reviews, and the food looks great and looks to be like it had great reviews. I’ve also noticed that anyone who came in with a child or had any sort of complaint about food or a wait time has been bullied, chastised, and even mocked for being a college student by the owner, who turns out is the rude woman we encountered. I am unclear how this place is even still in business with the owner being so rude to anyone who didn’t have a perfect experience or was treated poorly because of a rule they did not even know about until they came in. So to the owner, you don’t have to have some snarky reply, It’s unbelievable that you own a restaurant that’s a service industry and you don’t have more tact in your dialogue with people who are just trying to come enjoy a nice meal. You’ve even called people losers if you didn’t like their review. It’s unbelievable to me that you think that the way to handle business if a person has a bad experience at a place you own is to bash them on their own review. I guess you don’t see it makes you look really bad. I’m glad you want a nice atmosphere for your guest, maybe try adjusting your attitude to match that. Again, no need to respond, but I’m sure you will since it Looks like you certainly enjoy bullying Anyone who didn’t give you a four or five star review.
EDIT AGAIN TO THE OWNER: there is one small printer paper 4 x 6 post on your window, there’s nothing on your Google page. It’s clear you hate children, there are multiple reviews on here on how you’ve acted if God forbid a child walk through your front door. That’s fine, as you said in multiple comments on one star reviews, you do you boo.Stop being a freaking Internet bully and just try to serve your patrons better. Every review on here that wasn’t about food comments on how rude and awful you as the owner was to anyone who bothered to walk-through that front door if they had children or god forbid had burnt chicken, burnt eggplant, and awful pizza and marinara. Grow up. You’ll be closed in the next few years for sure. Stop attacking people for leaving honest reviews about your awful behavior, and/or awful food.

Don't waste your time.
We made the mistake of waiting for an hour while they prepared our food. They kept saying it was coming right up and we believed them. When it finally came, my chicken was so over cooked it was inedible and the pasta and veg were all cold.

Loved it! Super charming interior, and top notch food 👌 Had the Green Ball, heirloom tomato + burrata, and the eggplant parm with veggies + pasta... all were dynamite! The restaurant holds just 18 people, so make a reservation in advance. I highly recommend this jewel of a restaurant 🌟👍

We had a lovely dinner here tonight, capped off with the most amazing peach vanilla gelato - and it was all vegan! We got the stuffed portabella, the eggplant parm, the butternut squash soup, and the gelato. It was all absolutely delicious and our server and the chef were both lovely. Would def recommend.

We were the only customers at the time but the chef came to see how were doing which was nice and the waiter provided excellent service. The chicken parmesan was the best. The vegetables, ceasar salad w/ lemon and the garlic bread were great. The lasagna was good.

Separate vegan menu- food is made-from-scratch fresh and very creative.

This review will not be regarding the food since we did not eat there. My wife was greeted at the entrance by whoever was working and we were refused service because we had our child with us. Granted our child and myself were standing outside. On the restaurant door it is posted that no child under 10 will be seated. We were not asked how old our child is. I understand a business asking parents to leave, or take food to go if their child is bothering the experience of other patrons or disrespecting the business, but making an assumption based on age is a very bold thing by a business. Age does not determine a child’s behavior or character. The same goes for adults. Also, on the door is a Progress Pride flag which stands for inclusion so to refuse service based on age, regardless of the law, is discrimination. I would think someone with those values which we share would understand.

While I am all for business owners having the right to do business with those they see fit, I cannot understand refusal of business based on someone’s age, instead of behavior or actions.

We ended up at Sow’s Ear where we had an excellent dinner, great service and everyone was included. If you have a child, had a child, or ever were a child I highly recommend finding somewhere else.

Quiet romantic little spot. The owner was running the entire restaurant by herself and it just made the dinner less rushed. All the food was to notch. Recommend it to anyone with patience for good food and a one of a kind dining experience.
