I didn't know that cookies could be this wonderful. No regrets coming here; the wallet might disagree, however. Small cookies shop that opens at 10am and closes whenever they sell out. I knew I had to go at 10am on one of the days I'm down in Cambria. Just as I had suspected-- this would be what I'm bringing back home as gifts to my family. Upon entering the shop, we were greeted by a young lady at the counter. She had told us we were welcome to try the samples on the shelves in front of the cookies and brownies. The samples were in a container with a lid and small metal tong. We tried each different flavor without delay. At the end, I decided my favorite was the Old Fashioned Chocolate Cookie and the walnut brownie- so fudgy and creamy. The cookies are packaged in twos $7. And the brownies were packaged in threes $12. We got a couple of them to go. You really can't go wrong with any of their cookies or flavors there. I'm glad I went early and was able to try them all.

So many flavors...it's like Baskin Robbin's but better (I mean...I can eat cookies even when it's cold and raining but don't love ice cream then). Do note, your favorites can sell out but I consider this just a sign of FRESH and delicious! Plus, if you call ahead, they can tell you what's there and set them aside for you. You can even call and let them know what you would like the next day and get them fresh and sure to be in stock. I'll definitely be making a stop (maybe more than once) whenever I'm in town.

Yummy in my tummy! Okay, so here's the deal. Reading through other reviews, a few complaints need to be addressed. For those upset about sell outs, keep in mind, this is a bakery that wants to be sure to have FRESH for all. Which means, they can't just keep baking away all day or they would lose money by having to discard or sell at a deep discount day-old cookies the next day (and no business can afford that these days). There are no preservatives so they sell their cookies the day of baking. If you don't get there early, there is a chance they will sell out of your favorite flavor. Here's the good news, they have SO MANY amazing flavors you can find a new favorite. There is no way for them to guess what the sales in a day would be like especially with a tourist town so please give them grace. When we were there, a customer was up in arms about the sell outs and it was just ridiculous. If you have favorites, ask them to save some for you to pick up the next morning when they open so you get them SUPER fresh AND are sure to snag your favorites. Another complaint I have seen is people being upset about a rise in prices. Let's be real...everything has risen from the price of each ingredient, to rents for spaces...literally everything! Cookies are a luxury item. If you don't want to pay the prices, then don't. Plenty of us are willing to to enjoy these handmade fresh treats. Between time it takes, ingredients and packaging, I am sure I couldn't do it cheaper myself so I will keep on coming back. Seriously, folks, if you are in town and have a sweet tooth, please consider stopping by. The people working here are sweet as can be (see what I did there LOL), their service is amazing, there are often samples in the morning to help you find your favorites, and the cookies are F-R-E-S-H. I'll be heading back in tomorrow to get some I am dying to try that were sold out today since I didn't get my hiney in until near closing. Can't wait to go back.

The cookies are absolutely delicious and the staff are welcoming and kind! You may have to arrive early to get some cookies before they sell out, because they're baked fresh, but that just shows how much people love them.

Been going to Red Moose for 12 years. Previous owner would sell a quality product. 3 cookies for $6. New owners sell 2 smaller cookies with less size and quality for $7.50. Why would you raise a product over 125%? Just Not worth anymore. Grind up some candy and use the same ingredients and Bam Red moose Cookies you can make yourself. Can't even buy as gifts anymore. These are all fake reviews. Ps I have plenty of money!

The caramel walnut fudge brownie is the best, most vulgar brownie I've ever tasted!

Brought a few packs of these cookies home for my husband and he said "these are proably the best cookies I have ever had"There were samples of all the cookies (which made me want them all) and a clear nut, no nut side. The folks there were super nice and it seemed like a small family run store. You must stop in!

The store was great. To the point and easy to find those flavors/food restrictions that impact you.The staff was amazing. Besides knowing everything about all their products she was super friendly and fun to talk to.They had samples of their cookies, which was important for the Root Beer cookie because it sounds interesting but you needed to taste it to realize that it is Awesome. All the cookies were great but if I had to pick it would be the Nutless Wonder. In the non-cookie realm the brownies were great.Stop here if you are going through Cambria!!

Always a destination when in Cambria. All the cookies are excellent, with my favorite being Aunt Mona's Moist Molasses. The store is now located on the main drag in Cambria.
