We visited Cambria this weekend and decided to try Sea Chest since we were staying within walking distance. Oh man! This place is incredible. We loved it so much we decided to go for dinner both nights of our trip! The shrimp and scallop scampi was delicious and my husband enjoyed the fresh catches of the day each night. Such a magical place, it was a great experience from the wine and the music while waiting around the fire watching the sunset to the customers service and the food was so fresh and amazing! The prices are very reasonable.
This place is an experience. First, there's ALWAYS a line that starts sometimes an hours before they open. It's usually full of locals and tourists alike, and as many others have noted, people bring folding chairs, drinks, books, and spend the time chit chatting. As annoying as a line is, it does feel a bit like a friend making/community building opportunity.
