Amazing! The food is hot, fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The server is friendly and makes you feel welcome. I also love the music — it creates such a nice, relaxing atmosphere while you eat. My favorite place for delicious Chinese food!

Like many others, we were intrigued to try the “new” Shanghai. We arrived shortly after opening and we’re greeted with a lack of professionalism. I immediately felt like we were a bother to the server.

We ordered a water, a can of Diet Coke, a sesame chicken lunch special and a broccoli chicken lunch special(when I asked if I could upcharge to do 50:50 rice and chow mein, the server raised her voice at me and said “we don’t do that here”).

We remained courteous because everyone has off days and it wasn’t the end of the world.

Five minutes later she brought our drinks and my husbands egg flour soup. The soup was inedible, my husband pushed it to the side. He opened his soda and poured it into his glass.

35 minutes go by, another customer who came in after us had already ate, paid and left. Another couple who came in after us had their meals in hand. 5 more minutes went by and the server presented me with my meal. I tried hard but could but get passed the fact that my food had looked like something my dog spit out. I chalked it up to ordering the wrong thing and pushed it aside.

My husbands food still hasn’t arrived. 48 minutes after arriving we had still not received his order. I called the server over and explained that my plate looked inedible, my husband hadn’t received his food and we were running behind and needed to leave. She looked me straight in the eye, said nothing and walked away.

We got up to leave, packed up my daughters things and headed out. While loading into the car, the server chased after us threatening to call the police and writing down our plates.

We explained to her the food we did receive was inedible/untouched and the rest never came out. She insisted we stole a soda because we opened the can even though it was never drank from.

After an unfortunate screaming match, my husband caved and agreed to pay for the single can of soda. The server ran our card for 5.90$ for a can of soda.

I went back and fourth about writing this review because I do believe in giving people a chance and some days are better than others. However, today when I checked our mobile app I noticed that the charge went from 5.90 to 6.90$…. She added in an unauthorized tip.

I’m shocked that this company would treat someone like this over something so petty.

Their food is awesome! Their service is wonderful, too! I am glad to have a quality Chinese restaurant in Cameron Park!

I've been going at this place when it was different owner and food was good. Thn become China house and we loved the food ans service but in the last 3 months they've messed up our food not once not twice but 3rd or 4th time. There food was so good. But my last order the food was cold upon telling the owner or the chef whoever he was he had attitude and not just mine but my friends food was cold as well.

Ordered the Mongolian Beef, the beef was off and tasted old. First time trying this new place and would not recommend coming back

Food isn’t good and the service is horrible. The lady server is very rude and makes you feel un wanted. It’s unfortunate because it’s very close to my house and we use to come all the time before it changed owners and loved coming. But we will not be back
