I always love going here! The ciders are top notch, service is spectacular, and the surrounding views are beautiful.

Food was subpar, we were accused of using the children’s play area without having made a purchase(despite holding our purchases), there were lipstick stains on our glassware, and an owner named Barbie was wildly rude to us whenever we mentioned any of these issues. I would recommend going to a different orchard.

This place is an absolute gemstone if you have kids. They have a giant sandbox with trucks, old vehicles that you can get on and explore, a full pretend village... the list goes on and on. Do yourself a favor and come here if you have kids, the cider will taste so much better knowing your kids are having a blast

We showed up fifteen minutes before closing (got lost on the way) so we couldn’t do a flight, but we bough four ciders to go and they were all delicious! The best cider on the Hill by far, and super nice people.

I’ve been coming here at least once a year for the last 3. Great selection of decent ciders, great views, and the pies are pretty good. Service is hit and miss(but I don’t really mind), and the prices have gotten a little tourist-y. A definite must-stop for the Apple Hill visitor that enjoys hard cider.Kid-friendliness: Lots of attractions for kids

Enjoyed the $15 flight options for hard cider and/or non-alcoholic drinks and the plentiful picnic tables to sit at! We arrived before the noon rush, so there wasn't a line for the cider bar at that time. The bakery options were pretty slim when we arrived, but there were ample fresh and frozen juices (non-alcoholic) in half gallon and pint sizes for us to bring home. There were two food trucks (tacos and pizza) available that Saturday, and as a heads up to other folks: I don't think outside food is allowed here (which should be listed on their website so potential customers can plan their visit/day accordingly).

We wanted to check out Hidden Star on a recent Apple Hill trip. I was interested in both the bakery and the variety of hard ciders available.Maybe it was because we went in the afternoon but the bakery seemed pretty limited. Just a few pies and donuts and handful of other baked goods. We decided to skip that and instead grabbed a flight. The cider flight was worth the stop. They have over 20 varieties and you can pick four for $15. Some varieties are semi sweet and others are semi dry. We tried the codes with passionfruit, lychee and pineapple, ginger and lemon, and bourbon whiskey and jalapeno. All were pretty good but I would probably skip the ginger one and try something different next time as the ginger flavor was too strong for me. You can also buy prebottled hard ciders to enjoy later. They also have two food trucks on site, and a large parking lot. There's a large (private) play area near the property and a few craft vendors. If you like hard cider, I recommend a visit.

What a fun place in Apple Hill for kiddos to run around and play. Took kiddos here to run around and explore. Food they have a wood fire pizza truck there and it was absolutely delicious! The crust was thin light crispy and perfectly cooked. The owner was so friendly so you can't be the service there. But understand that it's self service so the ambience is really carefree and laidback. It's perfect with young kiddos.

Not a big variety of baked goods, but it's listed as a Bake Shop on the Apple Hill website. Canned goods were very expensive! Did have a lot of hard ciders, if that's your scene.

About 5 craft stands, small kids area, but they repurchase of crafts after paying for parking. Don't mid paying for parking if there were more crafts and area to walk. Like high hill

Very rude owner and scammy tactics, if you’re looking to come here for an Apple Hill vacation I don’t suggest it, after asking around the local area it turns out a lot of people are not very happy with how he runs his business; overall, good coffee but out of the price of your dignity.

A family reunion. A beautiful fall day. A picnic in apple hill. What started out as a storybook afternoon soon descended into a dark tale, one I hope you, dear reader, might never experience. We chose Hidden Star Camino, despite the long drive, because one family member had fond memories from many years of traveling here. We picked up some pizza and arrived around 1pm. When we arrived, we noticed food trucks. We love food trucks but alas, nothing about lunch for sale was mentioned on their website, and they certainly hadn’t served lunch all the many years before. We trekked up the hazardous and hilly parking lot to a table but were immediately approached by a woman who told us we could not bring in outside food. Only then did we notice the small sign near the ground, having been preoccupied with strollers and starving children. No problem. We trekked back to our cars and quickly fed our children on the dusty gravel, still determined to enjoy the day. When we re-entered Hidden Star, we made a purchase so that we would be allowed entrance into the play area. Then we were again accosted by the same woman, now quite furious. She unfairly assumed we were playing without paying and would not be deterred from giving us a sound tongue lashing. When she finally took a breath, we explained that we had indeed spent some coin, as requested. But instead of apologizing, she angrily reprimanded us for eating in the parking area, which she said was wildly disrespectful. She was not interested in hearing us out, but finally we just said ok, we understand. Some of us moved on to the cider barn. The same angry woman was pouring but in the spirit of goodwill, we proceeded. Before serving the sister she had already berated twice, she said “LET’S TALK.” And proceeded to restate her grievance with us, this time stating that if “the owner was here HE WOULD HAVE THROWN YOU ALL OUT!!” Not sure how to respond to this, we again attempted to diffuse the situation and move on. Two in our party could no longer take the abuse and said so, only to be told that their money was no longer good here. Still wanting to buy pies, cider, etc, we decided to give them one more chance and sought out another employee in the bakery to explain our perspective. This woman seemed much more reasonable, however the angry one was listening at the door and immediately dashed in for a final confrontation. Her excuse for this vile behavior was that the small family business needed to protect their bottom line. Ironically, the woman she continually harassed had promoted Hidden Star and been the reason 9 different families had visited that day. Had we been shown a little grace, we had planned to spend hundreds of dollars on goods. But sadly we couldn’t justify supporting this harsh and cruel enterprise more than we already had. Never has our calm, respectful family been treated with such vitriol, disrespect, and disdain. All over a pizza. Traveler beware.

BEWARE OF BARBIETwo days ago on a lovely Thursday afternoon my family (1 set of grandparents, their 5 kids and their 5 grandkids plus a few family friends and their kids) all set out for Apple Hill to enjoy a small family reunion that we had all been looking forward to. We brought food with us, knowing from experience that this farm for many years had not served food and we had quite the pack to feed. Upon arrival we noticed a lot of changes! Food trucks! Oh man, if only that had been listed on their website! We wouldn't have had to pick up food on the way. Oh well. We set up at the picnic tables with our food, enjoying that on this week day, no one else was there at all. Then Barbie (we learned her name later) came down from the cider house. She explained that we could not eat at the tables because they were reserved for the new food trucks. She seemed pretty upset and was a little rude but we just shrugged, packed up our food and ate inside our cars in the parking lot. This could have been the end but it was not. For the rest of our visit we were CONTINUOUSLY FOLLOWED AND HARASSED BY BARBIE. It was as if Barbie felt personally attacked by a family feeding their children quietly in the parking lot and took out a vendetta against us for the entirety of our stay. Futilely some members of our family attempted to resolve this issue but to no avail. I would be remiss to not warn others of this kind of aggressive behavior and I suggest you read some of the other reviews as well. Barbie herself warned us that the owner was even worse and would have physically removed us from the property had he known that we had eaten in our cars. We thought this was ridiculous at the time but after reading some of the other reviews, I think this might actually be true.
