“Gorgeous setting with indoor and outdoor seating options. Exceptional service and experience. Tried 6 different wines and thought the taste was good but not quite our favorite. Overall fun place to walk to from High Hill Ranch.”
“Great place to stop for lunch and a brew (or soda). They also now serve breakfast! Pulled pork was good, lots of tasty fries. Portions were generous. Food is Hawaii themed. I will visit again. If you are exploring Apple Hill / Camino, it is awesome.”
“One of, if not our favorite winery in El Dorado Hills! Great atmosphere, welcoming owners, and amazing wine! Love the Bubbly ? and Pommie among others. Grab the Late Harvest Vionier if you like those sweet wines. ? ?”
“They catered our sons wedding. Were there for setup before the event, had enough staff, kept the water/ice tea/lemonade full (which was hard in the heat) and were all very friendly and helpful. Stayed through most of event and cleaned up their areas. The food for dinner and the grazing table was delicious and plenty. Highly recommend”
“I LOVE this place! Though it may seem small, it makes up for that tenfold in heart. The person working the bakery window was so kind, and the slices of fresh pie were heated up for us, so how could we say no to a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top?! I enjoyed the berry and apple slice, and I also bought a frozen pie of the same variety to take home. Their selection of goods in the shop and frozen items is terrific!”
“Check out the Apple Hill hard cider Trail on the Apple Hill blog! Apple Hill growers have been producing hard cider for generations, and now many farms are offering unique brews that showcase the traditions of the farming, families in the community. The Barsotti family juice company has been making freshly pressed apple cider for nearly 40 years at their family owned, solar powered Cider Mill. Check out their canned delicious hard apple cider. Such great staff and service, definitely a must stop when you're at Apple Hill.”
“Great place to stay with Harvest Host ... nice and quiet. Great friendly staff and delicious wine...would totally recommend this play for a party or small wedding venue ♡”
“Visitng town and family recommended The Forester for dinner. From them, I found out the history of the Past and Present of the restaurant. The old location, the new and still shifting into full gear in some parts. Noting they are getting the flow going, sometimes felt a little hectic, but there were so many redeeming points. My favorite was having a small conversation with Helen after dinner. Bill she mentioned you as well! I had the Jagersnitzel w Kraut and Dumpling w Gravy. If you've experienced true German food before. You can appreciate this food greatly. The dumpling was spectacular, the pork was juicy while breading was soaking in the greatness from the mushroom gravy. We only visit a couple times of year and will make this a staple. Bill & Helen, keep on doing what youre doing. Its hard to run a business, let alone make one feel like home with good food."Showing love from Southern California ?"”
“I was visiting my twin brother Mike Smith over the summer and he took me to Jack Russell Brewery InCamino ( very beautiful area in the foothills of northern California) I'm not a beer drinker, but I do drink coffee. My brother bought me 2 bags of Olio Three Bean Blend. And I absolutley love this coffee. So far my brother has sent 5 bags since Aug 2023. More is on the way ! I promise you won't be disappointed !!!”
“Good fluffy pancakes and bacon. While the hash had tasty crisp potatoes, wife felt it was a little heavy on potatoes and light on meat. All in all a very good breakfast. The waitress was friendly and efficient, and we enjoy the unique, historic atmosphere. Good place. We will be back.”
“Stopped to get a bite to eat after visiting the farms in the area, plenty of different beer options the Blonde was good. Nice outside seating, good view, good food we got garlic fries and chicken tenders both good. Pizza was alright”
“This place is an absolute gemstone if you have kids. They have a giant sandbox with trucks, old vehicles that you can get on and explore, a full pretend village... the list goes on and on. Do yourself a favor and come here if you have kids, the cider will taste so much better knowing your kids are having a blast”
“The food here is absolutely amazing!!!!! I had lemon thyme risotto with Scallops, my husband the Salmon. We had calamari for appetizer, and banana foster for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly. The scallops were so tender and fresh. The ambience was nice, and I thought the drink selection was great. They do have kids menus if you want to bring your kids. It's probably the best food we have had in a while. Service was spot on. I highly recommend going here. It is a gem in the middle of nowhere, lol.”
“As a dual citizen of Italy and America it is so hard to find food places that feel like home and aren’t “Italian American” where it’s nothing but pizza and spaghetti. This food was AMAZING! I can’t wait for my momma to come visit so I can take her here! 10/10 will recommend to anyone! The portions are perfect, I left feeling so full and had to get my cannoli to go.”
“Absolutely amazing food. Every single thing we had was delicious. The beef Bourgogne stew was my favorite. The pre fixe was a great deal and the cod was cooked perfectly. The only complaint I have about the dessert is that it was too good and I want more. Best meal I've had in a long time and reasonably priced as well!”
“Very tasty food, super friendly service, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and parking. I loved my pulled pork sandwich and my husband loved the three meat plate (especially brisket).”
“John and his staff serve lunch that is locally sourced and organic. There's always a line to order, but well worth the wait. The elk burger is awesome. John and his staff are gracious and skilled. It's like coming home to family every time I walk in.”
“For months I would stop and read the menu but just couldn’t bring myself to try one their “concoctions”. That was my loss. I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone trying several of their master pieces and have not been disappointed once. This place is like the Disney Epcot of sandwich shops. Ready for an American classic, the biscuits and gravy sandwich might be their simplest sandwich but I’m salivating right now just thinking about it. The gravy is top three I’ve ever had, if not the best. Ready for a trip south of the border, the enchiladas suizas sandwich might be my favorite so far (minus the sour cream). The addition of the chips might seem like something my kid would do, but don’t think this sandwich would be same without them. The salsa verde rivals anything I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant. Looking for something a little on the sweet side then give the honey walnut prawns a try, and continue down the Asian fusion path with the pot sticker cheese burger. I could go on but just know your trip around the culinary world doesn’t stop there. Don’t like to travel, no problem, the cheese burger will more than get the job done. Fair warning, they have a lot of fun and work their butts off, but on busy days there can be a bit of a wait so take some time and enjoy all Main Street has to offer. It will be more than worth it.”
“What a great little hidden gem. Delicious food all around; we had Pozole super flavorful, quesabirrias, a torta and pupusa. The pupusa selection is very limited but they were decent. Service was great.”
“Popped by here after jury duty in Placerville and oh my... These sweet treats were perfect!! This place is such a cute little bakery with lots to choose from! I got their chocolate chip cookie, and it is just how I like them -- so soft, not too sweet, and almost like cookie dough! I also got the oatmeal thin mint cookie, which sounded interesting at first but wanted to try, and it was delightful! It's not too sweet and had a perfect balance with the mint. I also tried their coconut macaroons which were amazing! Reminded me of how my mom makes them! Thank you for such a wonderful treat! I definitely need to come back to try the gelato, which looked AMAZING.”
“Located in the far side of a strip mall. Plenty of parking. Cozy restaurant, a throwback to earlier days. Warm greeting and attentive staff. Mostly booth seating. Food is perfect if you Are looking for Mexican food with little deviation from mild. The Chile verde was tasty but the beans (whole) and rice were bland. Complimentary chips were excellent and salsa was good. The restaurant was busy for a Thursday afternoon.”
“Awesome family run shop. The food is awesome. They have choices for every taste.Definitely worth the five minute drive to get the best sushi in the area.Kid-friendliness: Roomy tables with space for a high chair”
“Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options that are super tasty - clearly labeled, too. We had the Thai and the Hippy, I recommend both and will order again for sure!”
“Enjoyed a late lunch here on our drive back from Lake Tahoe to the Bay Area. Didn't get to try their Lobster Bisque since they were out (Friday ~2pm), but our daughter loved their clam chowder. The Baked Brie was so delicious - served with warm bread, dried fruit, grilled onions and truffles. It was gone within a few minutes! For our mains, the crab cake sliders were fine, nothing spectacular. But their Salmon Salad was a hit! The salmon was cooked just right, not too dry, with a lightly sweet, refreshing dressing. I wish I could bottle up the dressing and take it home! We'll definitely be coming back when we're in town again.”
“I was traveling today and stumbled upon this deli. The service was amazing. Thee best pastrami hot sandwich with all the fix ins’ AND a yummy sandwich roll. So happy to find this place!”
“Literally the BEST Chinese food in El Dorado county. I had general chicken and it was out of this world. Everything was extremely fresh. When we walked in the staff was snapping peas at a table, very authentic food and excellent service. It's definitely called Wonderful Chinese food for a reason!”
“Home cooking like my Grandma made..... the place is small but has.a true Hispanic charm ....right down to the salsa and chips. Portions are way large... and prices a great value.... Less than a thin in and out burger..... So glad they survived Covid closeting ..... We have had most things on the menu. I love Carne asada burritos.....my husband goes for chicken tacos and beef taco... please stop by.....small hole in the wall places like this are true gems... If you don't support them they will be gone !,,,, Fast also for take away . Cheers”
“It seems like the atmosphere would change based upon what you look like. The server wasnt really hospitable, however the female bartender had excellent service. I had the salmon with asparagus and a roce cake. Delicious!! I wish i remembered which drinks i had but both were great, not watered down and you can tell the bartender takes her craft seriously.”
“Fun local friendly spot for an easy, casual Mexican dinner for two in Pollock Pines. Delicious chili relleno was the star of our meal. Wine margarita was huge! Our service was helpful and friendly.”
“Stop here after a round of golf, and I must say the pepperoni pizza was absolutely the bomb. The crust was just the way I like it, not too crispy and not too chewy! The amount of sauce, and the flavor was perfect!. This was by far one of the best pizzas I've had from this area in a long time. outstanding pie and I highly recommend it. Craig Pizza.!”
