Small cozy cake place where you can buy cake accessories
Where food, art and engineering come together. It's like an amusement park of possibilities...
Great place
This store is Old School and delightfully stocked with cake decorating supplies that will have nearly everything your looking for, from fillings to many boxes for your baked delectables; including sprinkles, rental plans and maybe a learning class or two. Enjoy!
Cake works is the go to place for anything baking, although the hours are limited, it is one of the only stores of its kind. You can buy basic baking items anywhere, but when you need specialty items, this is a one stop shop.
I ordered a tiered cupcake for my wedding. Originally, I was going to skip the cake, and have an artificial cake instead. But I changed my mind a few weeks before the wedding day, because my father in law offered to cover the cost. Even though it was a last minite, they accomodated all my needs. Their responses were always fast too.The cake was so beautiful and all the guests loved it.The only thing I didn't like was setup fee was not included in delivery fee. As you might already know, everything related to wedding cost extra. I think $700 should cover everything. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with their service. Thank you so much!!
I love The Cake Works friendly staff and their classes are easy and they are fill with information and you have alot of fun while learning and the teach away that even if you don't know how to baked you will do it! 1 day clases and great prices... I support small business... recommend this place!
Such a gem! Not only do they sell every kind of baking supply you can imagine (and some stuff you've probably never imagined) but the ladies who work here are lovely. Anytime I've had a question about baking or decorating, they've hooked me up. The classes are the best. I look forward to them all week. I used to be intimidated by cake decorating, but thanks to these classes, I've gained some pro skills, from working with fondant to doing a mirror glaze. Also the recipes you gain can't be beat. I encourage you to visit ... this place won't be around forever.
Quaint place to pick up baking supplies and decor, both edible and not such as candles, plastic toppers, and roses of varying size. The staff that has been present during my visits is older and a bit hard of hearing, but very nice and welcoming.I’ve attended both virtual and in-person classes with Cake Works organized by the company I work for; they’ve all been great as Cake Works provides kits with instructions, piping tips/bags, and our choice of fillings then proceeds to guide us in real time through whatever we’re learning that evening!
The supplies are great, and the staff is helpful when I've been in there, but I have to knock some stars off for their inconsistent hours. It's what compelled me to write this review in the first place. They are only open 3 days a week, for 6 hours each day, and 10AM to 4PM means anyone with a standard 9-5 job is out of luck until Saturday. I called today a little before 3PM and got no answer, so we tried dropping by at 3:25PM, and the store was dark and shuttered. If you are going to maintain such limited hours, the least you could do for your customers is stick to posted hours so they feel like they can rely on you. And if you need to close the shop for an emergency, add something to your voicemail so customers don't waste their time with a trip. This is not the first time we have shown up at the store and it was closed during open hours, and it has happened enough that I felt it needed to be brought up. I always want to support local businesses, but this makes it hard to do.

amazing classes, friendly instructors with a lot of patients... and their products are great, easy baking instructions and their cakes that you buy to make at home Amazing!
Incredibly nice place to shop. Everyone is friendly and they always have what I need for candy and confection projects.
My mother-in-law and I took the basic cake decorating class here. It was informative and a lot of fun! Julie was wonderful--personable, patient, and supportive. Attached is a picture of the cake I decorated with what I learned from this class! We are already signed up for the burnt almond cake class and will likely take more classes.Cake Works also has a lot of baking supplies, delicious cake mixes, fillings, chocolates, decorating tools, anything you need! They also have wedding supplies and seasonal decorations! Highly recommended.
What a gem of a place! The lady was willing to listen to my problem and even demonstrate a solution in her test kitchen in the back. While I was waiting for her to prep the demo, a solution came to me. I told her I didn't need her product anymore and she was okay. I will definitely be back to get their wonderful assistance and products..
