I've eaten there frequently, so that's a clue. This time there was only one waitperson on so it was a little slow. Can't really fault the waitress, she was moving. Reasonable price for decent quality food.
This is your classic neighborhood watering hole bar restaurant. Many of the patrons are locals, and you get the feeling that a good amount of the patrons know each other, the owners and staff intimately. Not in the amorous way, but in a sort of familial kind of way. I have a friend who is one of these regulars, and if I ever come to see her, Effie's will be on that agenda where I will have a vodka tonic and a beer and a nice catchup with my friend before moving on to our...
Service was good, as the waiters are nice. The food was pretty good. Ordered the cheesesteak and French Onion Soup and I was satisfied. The atmosphere is laid back and quiet. Would come again.
