I only wanted the crispy cheddar cheese. They added cheddar cheese to my burger to fix my order, but not their special crispy cheese. Only got a greasy burger bad. This might be my time coming here.

Great Burger...great smash burger and the sauce was great..! I'm surprised at the negative reviews because I thought the burgers were great. The food came quick too

I don't find joy in posting a bad review but I have been thinking about how I did not enjoy this meal. Easy enough that I ordered everything from one of the kiosks. I got the Grizzly and order of fries. With 20% tip, it came to around $20 and some change. ETA given was 15 minutes which came out as promised in that time. I was ok with that time if food was made to order. What I received was confounding for that taking that amount of time. Fries were not freshly made and room temp and soggy from having sat around. The burger was served with three buns. I looked up pictures of the burger online and reread the description. It was not meant to have three buns, like a Big Mac. Between the two bottoms was mustard. It was such a weird, overlooked construction that just gave the impression of lack of attention to detail. Also, while the top bun interior was toasted, the exterior was cold to the touch. I picked up the burger and it was so cold and off-putting. The burger was less than 5 minutes old - didn't seem normal. A minor critique is an uneven melt on the cheese. The patties were freshly cooked and onion and pickles were fine. I ate half the burger and was sad about the product that came out of the esteemed burger man's kitchen. Perhaps quality is diluted since it's in a mall. Bad enough for me to write a novel over it.

About a $12 for a decent size burger. More expensive than other burger places not too unreasonable for Topanga social. I don't particularly like the sesame seed bun (too many seeds and kinda dry). But otherwise Amboy consistently serves a tasty patty. This is Alvin Cailan second location for Amboy, his first one being in Chinatown.

Try to go on weekdays from 11-4. They have a lunch special where a crispy cheeseburger, fries, and a drink is 15 dollars. I can see how the normal prices are steep but the lunch special isn’t bad. The food was tasty. The bun was super soft and the caramelized onions were flavorful and tender. The burger sauce is also really nice and the meat was juicy. I went on Friday at noon when it wasn’t busy, so that might have been why we had a better experience than most people here.7.5/10 burger, a little small, could use tomatoes and lettuce, but I would come back ?

Burgers are tasty and not too greasy. There is little bit of sweet hint to it. Service is fast as it was not that busy when we were there. Decent portion. Not really a wow factor burger but worth it. Price is a little steep for $12, but its a regular price for topanga social dining. I still recommend it.

I went today at Topanga Mall and I got the lunch combo comes with cheeseburger fries and a drink. The fries were cooked well but with no flavor. Thank god I ordered the garlic mayo too but even that was bland. And the burger... Bland, and GREASY, of course cheeseburgers are greasy but every bite felt like 1/2 burger 1/2 grease. Definitely underwhelmed and the 2 stars is generous. . Especially not for $20

I am a 63-year-old man who has never left negative feedback in my entire life, but I feel compelled to share a recent experience that occurred this afternoon. I placed an order for a hamburger, french fries, and a coke, and unfortunately, the only positive aspect of the meal was the drink. Upon my first bite, I encountered a bun that was so dry and old it nearly broke my front teeth. The burger itself was severely overcooked to the point of being charred, and the french fries were stale and seemed far from fresh. In an attempt to address the issue, I returned the meal and informed the counter person about the unsatisfactory quality. To my dismay, their response was disheartening as they stated, "This is how we cook it." This encounter left me utterly disappointed, considering the condition of the food and the lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I share this feedback not as a habit but as a sincere warning to others. I encourage you to save your hard-earned money and choose an alternative dining option for a more enjoyable and satisfying experience.

Was really looking forward to their burger. Love Alvin's food at Egg Slut. The crispy cheese burger was DRY and FLAVORLESS. I asked for some salt, and they didn't have any. So disappointing.
