This place is so underrated - their neon sign got caught on fire and makes this place looks skeptic from outside but trust me it’s a clean and cozy place that serves some the best deli sandwiches in LA. It reminds me of places I been to in Chicago and NYC - your neighborhood deli meats and sandwiches

Subs were super fresh, owner was so kind! They accidentally messed up my order and as soon as they realized they apologized, ran over with a to-go box for the mistaken sub and made me a whole new sub. During our visit we also didn’t realize their hours ended early and accidentally stayed 30 minutes past closing - owner was immensely gracious and apologized for having to leave when it was our fault. Would 100% come back when I’m in the area.

Their sandwiches are so tasty, I got 8 sandwiches today, all 12inch to take to a park and share with our friends. They all liked it and enjoyed their food. Al pacino, Monte and godfathers are top of the line.

I’m telling you - this place is THE PLACE to go to for sandwich diversity, uniqueness and personality. The staff is beyond incredible. They treat you like family here (in a good way). If you have a frown on your face, definitely come here. They will cheer you up in a heartbeat.

Herman is one of the most kindest, sincerest and personable individuals you will ever meet and he works there. I was meeting with a mentor for lunch and he’s all about authentic personality!

Super accommodating, kind and very generous soul. I feel like people like him and me are dying breeds. The world needs more people like him behind cash registers. He is the type of person who goes the extra mile to make sure that you are well situated.

They have amazing cannoli's there. We didn’t order them and Herman brought them to me and my mentor and didn’t charge us at all for them!

It’s nice to leave a place where you know that you feel welcome. Again - it seems like that can be very rare these days…

My office is near Basil and the sandwiches are great. I tried a few and all have their own character and taste very good.
I personally recommend asking for less meat (they are extremely generous!) because it makes the flavors stand out more and makes for a better bite. That’s my personal opinion, but you won’t go wrong either way.

We tried Basil’s Deli for the first time today. The food, service and quality were excellent. We ordered the Hot Pastrami Sandwiches and they were outstanding, plenty of pastrami and a great Italian roll. We will definitely go back!

I’ve been craving a good sandwich for over a month. Went on google, found this deli and the reviews are accurate. Friendly service and GOOD FOOD. I ordered the Gladiator Sub: it was delicious. The sauce was my favorite part: very good, fresh ingredients and perfectly toasted. I will return to try other sandwiches off the menu.
