Old school Italian deli that I found by mistake!!! I've lived in the area almost 7 years and I have no idea how I didn't know about this place!
This Italian deli has all kinds of traditional Italian cookies, pastas, canned goods, and more imported from Italy.
I ordered the famous Italian sub. It was really good. My only gripe, as an Italian from the east coast, when you order a large, you expect a 16" sub. Even at Jersey Mike's large, which they call GIANT is a 16".
When I order a large, I'm typically feeding 2 mouths. I'd have to buy 2 large subs here to feed 2 mouths for almost $30 to equal 1 large sub, which is crazy. So, factoring that basic math it's a bit pricey for an old school Italian sub.
Staff was very friendly. And they have some basic Italian pastries like candles, rainbow cookies, biscotti, black and white cookies etc.
I tried one of their cannolis, I can tell from just looking at them that the filling looks a but strange as far as consistency. Cannoli cream is usually pretty thick. This looked more like an icing consistency. But it definitely tasted better than it looked. It tasted like a cannoli. I'd love to know what they use to make the cream. Marscapone? Ricotta?
If you're looking for a pretty authentic Italian deli, def give them a try.
They have a very small dine in area and more seating outside. And parking in the rear.

Very good Italian sub and cannolis. Look forward to trying more items on the menu. There's a lot of house made desserts, salads, and pastas to try. Smelled exactly like an Italian deli should smell...delicious.

Great little neighborhood Italian deli and grocer. Friendly folks. Italian combo sub was delish - I’d give the roll a B (Philly-region bread rates an A, so that isn’t meant to denigrate). The wife said the tuna salad was just ok, so skip that. We were traveling so no grocery needs, but the selection of oils and canned tomatoes was really impressive. Photos of famous Italians and actors portraying same all over the place. The founding owner’s original cooktop is back by the 3 tables for eat-in diners (a couple out front too). Best to plan to carry out. Get the cannolis. Parking limited - there are spaces on the street and if you can find the entrance🤣, you can come in the back. Overall, a pretty sweet Left Coast lunch discovery!

We've been going to Cavarettas for over 40 yrs. The sandwiches are fantastic & filling. Through the years, we've catered many parties with a variety of filled circle & 6 foot sandwiches, different types of salads, homemade lasagna, & desserts. The personnel are always friendly and helpful. Parking is a little tight at times & on weekends there is usually a lineup of people waiting to make an order. All you have to do is take a ticket when you get there. Or, you can always call your order in ahead of going there & it will be waiting for you at your requested time. It's well worth the wait.
Parking: Table availability is very limited as there is only one or two tables outside and inside. There is no service at the tables. Only an eating area after you order your meal.

This is hands down one of the best sandwich spots in the West Valley. It's been around for a long time for a reason. The deli meats are freshly sliced to order! It has such a local homey feel to it, I think the awesome staff has a lot to do with that. You can also buy other Italian goodies, including lasagna, pastas, sauces, and more! It's definitely a must try if you love deli sandwiches.

Cavarettas, an Italian deli, is one of the few places in SoCal where you can get a decent sandwich. They also have a variety of appetizers and desserts.
Though the store is a bit cramped and can get crowded really quickly, it is worth the wait for the food.

It’s outstanding. The only place I go for a real cold cut sandwich. They’ll make you anything you want, but I recommend trusting their process at least once on the Italian.
The prepared section is fantastic I’ve had the pasta and potato salads and they’re all very good.
They also have a bunch of freshly made options like ravioli, stuffed shells, and meatballs to bring home for an easy meal.
Lastly they have tons of imported treats and pantry items from Italy to shop while you wait for your order.
Parking is easy in back or plenty of meters out front. Staff is friendly and efficient and they package up everything perfectly.

This place has been here since the 60's. A nice neighbourhood deli offering everything from made to order subs and salads, to grocery goods... pastas, olive oil, Italian sweets, etc. You can of course get a wide selection of meats and cheeses, and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Breads are good with crunch. Prices are reasonable.
Vegetarian options: It is easy to get a salad or sandwich made here with only veggies.

10/10 Stars!!! I just had the most wonderful experience at Cavarettas Italian Deli with my family! The owner, David, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He made a delicious turkey sandwich for me, made sandwiches for the rest of my family, and even gave my two-year-old daughter a sweet toy that put a huge smile on her face. The food was phenomenal a true show stopper + best sandwich I have ever had- fresh, flavorful, and incredibly portioned.
If you're looking for a genuine Italian deli experience with a personal touch, look no further than Cavarettas. Highly recommend - WE WILL BE BACK!!! PS Best Cannoli in the game!!
Parking: Park for free in the back there are several spaces. Very cool mural on the wall out back too.

We ordered our Christmas dinner lasagna. It looked as if it was pieced together with all the left overs. It was so runny it was like soup at the bottom. Portions were small and spent over 100.00 for this it was tasteless. So disappointed. .
