In my entire history of bar hopping, I've never even bothered to learn the names of my bartenders. Mostly because I don't go to the same places over and over but the Frolic Room is now my first. Best eclectic mix of people you will find and across from the Red Line train station in the heart of Hollywood.
Great little dive bar with lots of history. If you are in Hollywod, you must male this stop. Abby, the bartender, pours great drinks for a great price. Don't expect a lot of frills, but if you want to be engaging, you will have some great conversations with other patrons and will overhear some great ones as well.
Frolic Room will always have a wonderful place in my heart. It's located next to the historic Pantages theatre, and it's a great haunt for locals, as well as aspiring writers, actors, and people that just are tired of the pretentious behavior that goes hand in hand with crowds usually pulled into the W. Great for a day drink..
