Pretty good for an oxtail alternative. I've missed them so much since becoming vegan and was happy to find Jamin. The texture is so similar and the taste of the sauce was as close as you could probably get for a vegan alternative. The amount of food you get for the price is very fair. And the plantains were perfect.Don't hesitate to try this place out.

Vegan J*** Chicken Box (Coconut Rice & Beans , Steamed Cabbage or Island Slaw, Fried Plantations) Sometimes get cabbage other times get slaw. Order to go online pickup when texted. No cash store. Food always the best. Small limited indoor seating.Vegetarian options: Vegan

This is an excellent way for vegans and vegetarians to experience Jamaican food! I loved the ability to try the j*** chicken drumsticks and rice. The chicken was incredibly chewy and very realistic, I was surprised! One meal was filling and was actually enough for two meals for me. I did not love the rice so much as it did have an interesting flavor. The j*** sauce is spicy so keep that in mind. Loved the fried plantains, and actually wish I had more than 2 pieces in my order!Vegetarian options: A vegan restaurant!

I am absolutely floored by the flavors. This is the best tasting plant based food I've had since my journey started 4 years ago! My Uber Eats driver was gushing about this place!

Food is decent, but some of the flavors are just not there for authentic Caribbean food. The biggest problem is the lack of flat out customer service and rude, disrespectful staff. I placed my order and my j*** sauce was not included, even after I stood at the counter and was assured that my 3 extra sauces were all in the bag. This is around 5:15 ish.Got home, and the j*** sauce was missing. Highly irritating. Called around 5:45pm to fix it. No one in the shop can give me a refund and they have to text the manager to refund me. Strange. It's a super small amount and shouldn't be a big deal. The woman (heavy Mexican accent since that's all I have to go on for identification apart from seeing her face in store) was SUPER rude and unprofessional. She was probably the one who made the mistake in the first place, as she seemed to be confused from onset. I stated that it's too inconvenient to drive back out and that after specifically asking about my items, I was annoyed to not have them. She got defensive and I let her know that not checking items and treating customers rudely after a mistake is not good customer service. The nasty attitude continued and I let her know that I didn't appreciate it and my review would reflect my experience. She responded with, "You can do whatever you want. You're just one person and we don't care..." I then told her that as a small business, this was totally unacceptable and I could not refer other people. She then hung up the phone in my face. I called back and no one answered. After calling back 3 times and not being able to leave a message (voicemail was "full"), another woman finally answered and was less rude but still unpleasant any unprofessional. She stated that she didn't know when the manager would be in and that there wasn't a good time to call because he just comes "whenever." I asked for the name of the woman who I spoke to the first time and was told, "I don't know her name," which is an obvious lie because there were only 2 or 3 people working in the entire store (per her admission). I then get the same, "You can write whatever review you want spill" from this second woman." I was initially only going to include the first woman in my complaint, but now, both are included and really, both need to be fired, especially the first woman. They are bad for business, horrible customer service providers, not pleasant, combative, and unreceptive to constructive criticism. As someone with island roots, I will not order from this establishment again, nor will I encourage others to do so. I shared this with both women and the general response was essentially, "We don't care."This is the kind of behavior and service you get when you hire people without tact and skills. Then they had the nerve to try and interrogate me about what I did for a living because "There are only 3 of us running this whole place " Lady, I'm a tenured professor with a doctorate. Get over yourself and take responsibility for your poor service, which just lost you a customer.

I liked this restaurant but STOP MARKETING YOURSELF AS VEGAN. I hate intentionally misleading places. Just label the other computer with non vegan or something if it's a common mistake people make. MOST vegan restaurants that market themselves as vegan never label their meats "plant based" bc the restaurant is vegan. It's disappointing I was almost out of $17 bc they weren't gonna remake it for me...that's bad business or just being lazy .

I got the vegan j*** chicken and the vegan coconut shrimp. The chicken was very good for being vegan! As for the coconut shrimp, please be aware of your spice tolerance. I chose for it to be spicy and it didn't disappoint. My mouth was burning. Bring water if you're eating in so that you don't suffer! Also, there was no public restroom so if you drink a lot of water, you know what you gotta do...

I got food poisoning eating here. I bought my food Friday evening, ate it immediately. and woke up Saturday morning with the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had. This was the only thing I ate Friday so I know 100% this gave me food poisoning. Not worth the trip to urgent care.

Food was good, got the curry chicken and the sweet and sour chicken... personally I preferred the curry chicken, very flavorful and spicy just how I like my curry. Will order again in the future.

WOW!!!! When I went vegan, I never thought I'd get "yaad food" again! I tried to take a picture of my food but this happened...Thanks guys! When I'm in town, I'LL BE BACK!

Chelsea H.

The chicken is pretty good, but the box comes with a ton of rice and hardly anything else... idk, for $16 I'd expect more chicken.

I love this place so much! I normally get the vegan j*** chicken box to go. I love the kick from the j*** sauce!
