Just moved to LA from ATL & googled the best Jamaican spot in Porter Ranch. The absolute tenderest jerk chicken I’ve ever had! And I also I the most delicious sea moss pineapple lemonade from Mother Nature’s Remedy. It felt great to support 2 BOBs! Trying the coconut rice & beans next time. Didn’t get a pic of my coco bread but it was good too

I’m pissed I paid 60$ for two plates of oxtails plates 26.99 they gave 2 small oxtails and not enough red beans and rice didn’t get full for my money worth !!!! Its better jerk spot in the area that get you full

This was the WORST? Curry chicken was so darn dry, no curry sauce. Patties taste like frozen food. The only taste you get is spice. No resemblance of Jamaican food you can get in New York or Hartford CT.

Respectfully, real Jamaicans are not cooking this food can’t be! If I can be honest the food is disgusting. The plantains are over cooked and flavorless, horrible texture. The food has no flavor just super spicy. Spice is not a flavor you need to actually season food. The cabbage is not cooked or briefly steamed so it’s hard and flavorless. The mac & cheese noodles are over cooked and watery. You can’t even enjoy the food because it’s so hot and on top of that taste like nothing.. I been eating Jamaican food all my life and I’ve never tasted food like this. If you don’t like seasoned or flavorful food this is for you. I wanted to love it I really did but this is not it for me personally.

The food is on point. The oxtail plate was delicious. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The jerk mac & cheese lunch special was a nice change of pace and a creative approach to the menu. The jerk wings were excellent. I could eat these every day. Full of flavor, tender, and spicy. The beef patties were probably my favorite. Flaky crust with a hot, filling that was so delicious.
Overall 5/5. Great food and great people. An energy and atmosphere that is very real. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican flavor with warmth and energy that makes you feel at home, this is where you need to be.
