Best spaghetti with meat sauce in town! Their salad dressing is amazing as well as their garlic cheese bread!

Been wanting to try this place and finally had the opportunity to. All i have to say is that the pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce tasted so fresh! I will definitely be coming back. Felt very welcomed with all the staff there. They were all super nice and sweet! Definitely a gem worth checking out!

I wanted Italian, but something more casual and this was a great place for it. You do not park in the back, but there is metered street parking available. Since it is a very casual place you get your tray and place your order and then are charged for your meal. Depending on what you order your meal may be ready or you may have to wait for it to be made, like pizza. Once you've paid for your meal you find a place to sit and your meal is brought to you. I had: Eggplant Parmigiana - It's been a while since I've had this dish so I'm happy I got to try it here. It wasn't too heavy, which was nice and the ingredients blended well together. Salad - This was very pretty filling and perfecto addition to the meal. The staff was great and friendly and the restaurant is clean. They do take out as well. What I really liked about my dining experience here is that I didn't feel heavy and bloated after my meal.

Love Love Love! Always great food at low prices! I've loved their original location near the Grove so when it came to the valley I knew I had to give it a try. The staff are all so friendly, I love that you order cafeteria style so you get your most of your food right away. One thing to note is that if you order entrees on the side such as chicken parm or ravioli, you'll end up waiting for a good 15-20mins before it comes out. There is plenty, ample parking located at the back of the restaurant.

Would I say Grandi Italiani is the best Italian food I've ever had? Well, maybe not, but there's something about this place that makes me want to go back. Now I'm not Italian and I don't go out for pasta that often, so think what you will about my expertise. But the last two times I ate at an Italian restaurant was at some fancy joint at the Americana and this place and honestly, I had a better meal at this place. The food is unpretentious Italian American fare. Think spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, pizza, eggplant parmesan. My go-to dish would be a spaghetti with meat sauce or shrimp creole with a baked chicken thigh smothered in mushroom sauce. The garlic bread is a cheesy, broiled to perfection slice of crispy heaven reminiscent of the variety from classic eateries like Clearman's or Sizzler. Portions are generous; a "Small" plate will be *just enough* to knock out my hunger and a "Large" would be better to split with my son. I can't say much about the meat sauce other than it's balanced and "I don't see nuttin wrong with it". I was actually thinking about another visit as I write this review but which thought entered my head first is a bit of a "chicken or egg" question.

I like this place. There's something very nostalgic and comforting about the friendly staff and the food that makes you feel like you're right at home. We came here close to closing time (7:30 seems a bit early; even for a weekday) and although most places around closing time would usually have this "I wanna go home" type of aura, we didn't get that here. If you're lucky enough to be accommodated by the owner (his photo is in the front of the restaurant), he's very nice and welcoming--even though we didn't really have too much of a conversation with him, he seems like the type of person that makes his patrons feel like family, like they're right at home. This was my second (or third?) visit and I think I've only ever had the spaghetti with meat sauce. It has a very homemade appeal to it that many people might find akin to "just like mom used to make" (if she were a half decent cook); I also had a side of garlic toast and baked chicken (I personally wasn't a huge fan of the mushroom sauce; it's optional). The portions are heaping too--I shouldn't of eaten the whole meal, but I did, and boy was I stuffed. Parking could be a little bit of a bother. There's only metered parking (behind the restaurant there's parking that looks like it's only reserved for the laundromat and some other business, but behind that is a metered parking lot; also a few spots on the street, also metered). I'm definitely coming back here. Peeking at the other tables, the pizzas looked really good so might try that next time.

I love this place. This restaurant is owned by the same family that owns Andre's Italian Restaurant in on 3rd and Fairfax in LA. I've been going to Andre's since I was a child and this place is always so good. I'm so sad to see that location closing down, but so happy Grandi exists! It's definitely a further drive, but absolutely worth it. I'll do anything for their food! Please support the business as much as you can. Tell your friends and family about it! This is an LA staple!!!!!

Overall, yes! For the price and the portion size, this place is a definite hit. Great place to bring a date, your family, your parents, your kids, coworkers, out of town guests and visitors, Etc. Also good for catering events as well, if you want a low cost solution for great food and crowd pleasers. Garlic Bread: light and Airy bread, fresh, topped with a powdered cheese and slight garlic type vibe. It's a lot like the topping from The Smokehouse bread in Burbank. Large 16" thin crust pizza: The pizza is true to size, and then some. Toppings were sausage, bacon, mushroom and red onion. You do get the nice big bubbles on the outer Edge, and they put just the right amount of mozzarella cheese. Not greasy at all. Eggplant Parmigiana: layers of eggplant that have been lightly fried, topped with light cheese and a brisk fresh tomato sauce ( like a marinara, but more fresh, not overly cooked). Caesar Salad: the romaine lettuce is very crisp and crunchy. Amazingly, there is no dairy in the dressing. And it really does taste like Caesar dressing should. It's light and creamy, very flavorful.

Great atmosphere. Love love love their thin crust pizza. I have only had their pizzas. Haven't tried other items from the menu. But I'm sure they are delicious as their pizza is. Always do a cheese pizza or with mushrooms or olives., etc
