Ate at Cilantro Lime My partner and I were both served cold meat and cold refried beans in our food. Not, a little on the cold side, but literally cold like it had been cooked the day before and sat out temperature. So we gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked if maybe they can heat the food or remake it but to warm the meat on the stove microwave what ever. They had no problem with remaking it. So… We get the food back and the food temp is EXACTLY the same. Both of the dishes… cold meat and cold beans. We ask the manager what was going on with the stove back there?… He shook his head (like we were being unreasonable) and says that he personally seen the cook heat the meat in the microwave and that all the restaurants there do the same thing, as in … they all serve cold protein. TOTAL GAS LIGHTING. As if serving cold carne asada is the norm. I guess food safety regulations don’t matter and everyone should eat cold meat.
I literally watched him and he never investigated what was going on with maybe the mechanisms that they were using to keep the precooked food at a servable temp.
My partner and I are both in the safety professionals which includes food safety…. so the gas lighting was unnecessary.

Music can be a little loud but the atmosphere is great. The customer service is top notch and friendly. It's clean with a fun vibe. Would like more vegan options
Very interesting. I’ve only walked by here many times but haven’t given it a try. I tried the Pasta Bar, Dumplings, and Jinya. Pasta and Dumplings was a 2/5 for me. Jinya was a 4/5. Ambience was great and all but I think the restaurants need work on quality if they want it to be popping. The price and service does not match the food quality. I’ve had better pasta and dumplings and other places that cost less. I’m not complaining about price the value doesn’t meet its standards to me. Been in food service business my whole life I have different perspective, I can tell if food is frozen or not unlike many others. I hope the Topanga Social picks up more and does better in the future.
