I ate at Weiler's Deli k last night and surprisingly it was nearly empty at 6:00 pm. I was with a friend. I ordered egg salad on a top of lettuce.. The waitress brought me chicken salad. I called her back and told her the order was incorrect. She argued with me and said it was egg salas, when it clearly was not. Then she said sometimes they put a scoop of each on the salad. I told her again that it was chicken salad and not what i ordered. You could look at it and see there was no egg on that salad anywhere.,. Then she said "I told them you wanted egg salad" and begrudgingly she took it back to the kitchen, immediately bringing me back egg salad. I began eating it and found egg shells in it. I am a regular customer at Weiler's on Victory Blbs in Woodland Hills. This was the worst experience I ever had there. Not happy.. and I don't plan to eat there again anytime soon.

PERMANENTLY CLOSED 3-28-2024. Sadly, another long standing West Valley restaurant has closed it's doors. Weiler's West Hills Deli had been a local favorite for decades. Since Covid though, I've seen the patronage drop significantly & the place lose it's "friendly vibe". Also that Shoup / Sherman Way area has become unsafe, just like other parts of the West Valley. Will miss this place as it was my monthly go-to. Thank You Simon & team, for all your efforts throughout the years ! ! !

Had a late weekday lunch at Weiler's West Hills Deli. Aside from the flat screen TV and credit card reader, it is like stepping back into the 1990's- leather booths, daily special board, tile bathrooms, deli counter. I was greeted immediately and told to sit anywhere. The menu, like any decent deli, is vast. I decided on a chopped liver on rye sandwich with onions and cole slaw. The sandwich was served in no time, containing heaps of chopped liver with red onion, and tasted just like it should. It was so large I took half of it home. The cole slaw tasted off- a little too sweet for my liking. Entrees are served with pickles. Prices are standard for delis but portions are large. Service was prompt and polite.

Food was good. Service was terrible. We were there Sunday morning. Only 1 server. Took 30 minutes before she acknowledged us and took our order.

I used to eat here all the time back in the '90s before Yelp so I've never reviewed weiler's. I try to stop in whenever I'm on this side of the valley so recently I was driving by and I decided to stop in and grab some matzo ball soup which was very good . Large fluffy matzo ball in a very good chicken broth with lots of carrots and noodles, would definitely order again. Last time I was here a little ways back I had the large pastrami Reuben sandwich and it also was very good and I'm pretty picky about those. As with all pastrami sandwiches these days they're getting expensive but it was worth it I definitely recommend if that's your thing. Will definitely be stopping back in when I'm in the area.

Don't recommend ordering the monte cristo. 2 halves of the three decker sandwich was deep fried not cut in fours and dipped then deep fry. They must have not used toothpics to hold together it was on plate very over deep fried, dark brown. So bread was crispy and some of ham and Turkey was hard to
