Second time I've been to the Capitola Chipotle. This second time I noticed the proportions were stingy compared to the first, very shallow scoops of rice and beans. Also they dropped small yellow plastic things into the Pico de gallo. I had no idea what they were. They fell in the Pico de Gallo and served me from the same contaminated batch. The main reason I wanted to write this review was because they are incredibly unsanitary. Almost all tables were dirty and so was the floor. Left over food and napkins all over. I asked if they could clean the tables and they started right away. They poorly wiped the table and left crumbs and food on the seats and floor. I expected them to finish cleaning but I saw them go back to their original spot and take out their phone. They never returned to cleaning. Both times I went the tables were too dirty to eat there comfortably. The garbage was full to the brim. They need to step up on the cleaning. They had enough employees to have one focus on wiping tables and sweeping. Will never go to this one again.

Sofrita terrible too spicy and overly flavored...had to throw away after 4 bites guacamole however was natural and simple and good ...stick with beans rice and veggies for vegan or gluten free the tofu is

The restaurant is filthy. How does it not get shut down? The staff consistently allow trash on the floors throughout the dining room and underfoot in line up to the cashiers. This location is frequently out of many items at once (i.e. fajita vegetables, black beans, queso cheese). The employees blast personal rap music with swearing and x-rated lyrics. We walked out. It was too gross to imagine getting food.

Their prices are the same or more but the portions are smaller lately. This is new. They have been giving half scoops or 1-2 tbsp equivalents of all items. Like if I got everything there would still be room left in the bowl. If I'm going to be giving half portions especially on meat, I want half prices then too.

Who manages this place? You got trash piling up on the floor, no one is taking any orders, and you got the employees with their pants sagging just standing around chit chatting! I saw one of the employees giving free food to one of their friends “i got you” were his exact words! Idk but that sounds like stealing

Longtime Chipotle eater here. This location is usually better than the Santa Cruz one, so I've been trying it more often recently. One thing I've noticed is that portions are wildly inconsistent- especially for meat. One day it's normal for what Chipotle has done for nearly 20 years, and another day I get a half scoop of chicken and they won't budge when I ask for the normal portion. I'm so tired of having to ask them to adjust and getting attitude in response. Prices are up, portions on proteins are down. So I eat Chipotle only occasionally now. And jeez- clean this place once in a while! The dining area is a disaster every time, just like most of these reviews say...

This particular chipotle is not up to standard. Because I love chipotle so much, I keep trying to give it a chance. The first time I ordered they were out of lettuce 2 hours prior to closing. The next time they were out of guacamole and the rice was hardened/burnt. Another time they were out of salad dressing (for the salad bowl), and yet another out of veggies. And mind you... all of these visits were hours prior to closing time. I think I kept trying because every other chipotle are solid 10s, and I was trying to give them another chance. Sadly this is my neighborhood chipotle.
