“My friend and I had breakfast at Evarits’s Comal this morning and it was FABULOUS! My veggie eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked, with one of the best hollandaise sauces I’ve ever tasted. The fruit accompaniment was delicious and fresh. Service was on point. I even got serenaded and served a yummy dessert when they found out it was my birthday. I wholly recommend this excellent restaurant!”

“Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had, period! It’s incredibly fresh, perfectly crafted, and the crust is exactly what you want—beyond crisp on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside. They also make amazing sandwiches! I was helped by Chloe, and her wonderful energy and kindness made my visit extra special. Love it here! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“I have been here twice now. Crab Rangoon, green curry, sesame balls, and pad Thai were all good. I give the food five stars. For some reason there are never too many people there so they have not staffed up beyond the owners. But this does not seem to be a problem unless multiple parties come in at the same time. So far, for me, it has not been an issue. I knocked off a star for atmosphere only because it is a bit messy behind the desk and the lobby is a little tired. I don't mind any of this when the food is good. Ill be going back.”

“The Po Boy taco at this restaurant was the best shrimp taco ever! And there are a lot of good taco places in this town. One taco was a full meal for a very reasonable price. Fresh and made to order. The taco came with a platter of peppers and onions and radishes on the side. Free chips came with the order.The service here was fantastic. I will be having my Mexican food here! The setting is in the mall food court, which was not Ideal. But I would get that food to go anytime!”

“May be the best restaurant in all of Santa Cruz county. Love the lunch menu with simple, fresh, lobster rolls and the dinner menu with great cocktails and fresh seafood.

“Dear Friends arrived at our home with a bag of the Divine Crostini and Roasted Garlic Artichoke Dip. Wow! (They are NOW are very best friends). I was a Gayles a very long time ago - and just saw the photos of the store/restaurant and cannot wait to hike over the hill and have. a decadent shopping spree! WOW! is the Crostini divine...and the Dip?! Amazing!”

“Kevin makes the best Sushi in Santa Cruz. We were bummed he closed his Scott’s Valley location but we followed him to the Capitola location. After having tried every Sushi spot in town I can confidently say Wasabi’s rolls are the best. The location is small and no frills but that makes the Sushi the focus. Must try if you love amazing sushi!”

“I’m so happy V&V opened a bride and mortar location! I’ve been a big fan of their crepes from the live oak farmers market and just tried the location in the mall.

It was just as delicious and now I don’t have to wait for the farmers market to get a crepe. It’s rare to find food that is quick and delicious while still feeling healthy and nourishing, V&V hits the mark perfectly.

Service was so kind and welcoming. I can’t wait to come back!”

“I came here on a sunny day in January around 12.30ish.
I ordered at the counter and tried to look for a table - but didn't find any - so got takeout
As soon as I was done I saw a table empty out - and I took that one.
The staff was kind enough to accomodate the change.
The patio view is superb and the tacos 💯
I got the chips and guac - guac was fresh, and had the creamy feel of the avocado and the salsas were spicy and tangy , the chips were crispy and the little sprinkle of salt made all the difference
The fish taco has fried fish and the taco was a great crunchy one with the spicy and crispy feels
The shrimp taco is a little warm taco with grilled shrimp and a little mellow sauces .

“Stopped in this mall tired in the evening on a long drive, desparately in need of a coffee. I happened to meet the owner Sherri as they were wrapping up for the day. She could have said no, we're closing, we're all out of coffee, but she made me the LAST cup of coffee in the entire mall at any restaurant inside, and dressed up with cream and sugar exactly how I asked. She gave me a free sample of her cookies while waiting, said it will be 2.95 for the coffee. I handed her my credit card and said PLEASE charge me extra for your fantastic service and hospitality, I don't have cash for the tip jar right now, at least charge 7 or 8 bucks if Starbucks wants that much!

...She refused to take any extra of my money above the $3. And that cookie was the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had in my life. Thank you so much Sherri! Your cookies, coffee, and hospitality and friendliness to a stranger are all world-class. I would come back every single day if I could.”

“What a lovely addition to Capitola Village. We went to celebrate my 60th birthday 🎂. The owner were fantastic and made me feel super special. Even sang happy birthday and gave me a really yummy chocolate caramel apple. The wine list was lovely, so many options. They have a great option for charcuterie. Pay the extra for the full board only $56. You get so much! The cheeses and meats are so fresh and tasty. All the extras really accentuate the experience. He also has with it Twin Kitchens jam and mustard. I will definitely go again and again. What a perfect way to celebrate! 🎉🎂🐝💕”

“El Toro Bravo was closed for 391 days following a Christmas Day gas explosion, that destroyed the apartment attached to the back of the restaurant. Luckily no one was seriously hurt!

We are so blessed to have El Toro Bravo back. The same great menu and warm friendly staff. I got the tacolotta and my wife enjoyed some taquitos. The sweet enchiladas sauce will entice you to eat the whole thing (pro tip ask for a to go box so you can save some)

The food is great and we ran into a lot of people we know so a fun dinner spot that you should leave full and happy”
