This place is an absolute gem in the hear of Capitola. It boasts not just an extensive selection of flavors (many inspired concoctions), but the quality of the ice cream itself is PERFECT. Not too sweet, delicately creamy and just the right consistency. The real treat, however, was the guidance from Joanne, the expert behind the counter. Polar Bear has the best ice cream recipe in town! I should know, I worked their when I was a teenager, in the store, and making ice cream in the factory. To date, still my favorite ice cream and place I've ever worked!

Yummy ice cream in Captiola..sister store of Maryanne's. Lots of samples and great quality. Pay to park if you're luckily enough to find a spot!! Go on a rainy day, guaranteed parking in town!
