A&W Restaurant Fast Food • $
2120 41st Ave, Capitola

“It was a good idea having KFC and A&W combined. I enjoyed having the choice between the two places or a little of both. I went with three chicken strips and a double cheeseburger combo. Both were hot and seemed really fresh. The chicken was super tender and the burger had a great flavor. The fries were also some of the best I've had in a while. They had a little seasoning on them which tasted really good. The restaurant doesn't have a lot of places to sit but even to go would be a great option. Definitely worth a try.“

Ordered the Double Big Mac and I must say it's wasn't half bad. This location gets busy, no drive through but it looked cleanish and the staff were niceish so the whole experience was Okayish.“

Bacon Cheese Burger

“Basic fast food: rancid seed oils, CAFO meat, high-fructose corn syrup, mystery toxic sludge - but we're not talking Michelin stars here, and I don't know anyone who eats fast food for their health. But my review is about the workers. The vast majority of us have worked in fast food and it is pretty much the worst. I really feel for those who have to support families on the crappy wages, explosion of Karens, and general working conditions. I have never had a bad experience with any of the workers - they're all friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and they do their best to get the food out as fast as they can. Every time I've been in there to expand my fat ass, I've been greeted with a friendly face and sense of humor.“

“Can't go wrong with an old skool chicken sandwich from BK (Burger King). One of the only fast food establishments in Northern Santa Cruz County of the H1, 41st Avenue. It's a quick bit and clean. The traffic can get rough, bit your appetite will be fulfilled. Newly remodeling helps the asthetics and appearance to please as you enter the parking lot and approach the ordering counter.“

“I took my neighbor's daughter at UCSC here for brunch. We got two Cali Croissants, one with regular bacon and one with turkey bacon, a ginger beer, and a Kombucha. The Cali Croissant is HUGE and will not fit into your mouth, unless perhaps you are a teenage boy. The Croissant was lightly toasted and delicious. My fruit side came with a nice mix of fruit: actual strawberries and blueberries, as opposed to just the standard grapes and melons. I really appreciated that. Service was friendly, but they don't really check on you when they're busy. They just brought us our food and the check. The only drawbacks are that it's crowded inside and the prices are not student-friendly. Not prohibitively expensive, but a little pricier than your typical breakfast and brunch spot. The quality of the food was great, though, so the pricing is somewhat justified.“

Felton Music Hall Burgers • $

“The music hall is really cool. However, the dirty veggie tots were drowning in cilantro but didn't have cilantro listed on the menu, which was really frustrating for a cilantro-soap gene person. If you love cilantro you'd love them.“
