been here a few times - menu has shrunk and food flavor has grown
great local beers as always!

An amazing experience! We ordered the mortadella rolls, the chicken waffles, and Fall salad. Everything tasted wonderful, well-balanced, and eybrow-raising good! The hosts and atmosphere were also delightful.

We had Korean chicken with blackened rice it was good buy not unforgettable. I enjoyed a Napoleon pizza that was very fresh and tasty. We ordered a salad to share and it was really fresh the salad was crisp and the dressing was light and refreshing. The dinner bread is a homemade biscuits with a jalapeño butter that was delicious. My wife had a watermelon margarita that was not all that great to be honest. $100 before tip for a chicken dish medium size cheese pizza a salad and one cocktail. The restaurant is clean, a little on the pricey side for what you get but non the less a good date night spot to bring you favorite person to enjoy a meal

Amazing pizza and olives, would recommend! Keep in mind that they discontinued happy hour indefinitely last month (that’s what the host told me). Wish they’d bring it back.

Far superior to east side eatery as far as food goes.
Amazing burger, they actually have American cheese (W). Brunch is also amazing can't go wrong. Fried chicken and croffle (croissant waffle) is insane so is the banh mi and the brunch burger. Service is great.

The last few years I’ve felt like the ‘good brunch places’ have slowly disappeared or quality declined.
When I read the breakfast menu at East End this morning on my phone I quietly thought to myself ‘fusion is rarely that great, maybe this won’t be either’ but since all other breakfast places stopped serving at 2 we made our way there anyway.
Crikey was I wrong! The food was a.m.a.z.i.n.g!!! Where do I start?
Actually - I’ll start with the menu which was fun and there were several things I wanted to try. It was hard to pick. A combination of American traditional dishes and others inspired by the East. The drinks menu was impressive and fun with choices I haven’t come across anywhere else.
Now to the food- the home fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, the Benedict sat on a moist delicious home made biscuit, the buttermilk pancake was dreamy with hints of vanilla and maple… but the part I loved there most was the Bhan Mi, which pulled off tasting authentically Vietnamese yet breakfasty with egg and mortadella. It was wasn’t fusion, it was evolution!
All ingredients were high quality and deliciously cooked on their own. Nothing was overwhelming, none of the dishes were riding on only one or a couple of special ingredients. There were no ‘filling ingredients’, there to bulk up your plate, no excess, yet lacking nothing.
Eating there was exciting and fun, i didn’t always know what to expect. I discovered new things. I wanted to try everything.
The drinks were also great, as was the service.
Brunch is back!!!

Always good service, and delicious food.
We were a party of 20+ and had the whole bottom area to ourselves. Everything was perfect, from great service to amazing food. Everything we ordered was delicious and we would definitely come back in the future!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the greater Santa Cruz area. It's located in Capitola right next to the movie theater. The staff is amazing. The servers are great. One of the Bartenders Grace is an absolute stand out.And the manager is definitively top tier.Love to stop for a glass of wine after work at their comfortable bar and chat up other locals or travelers. Many thanks East End Gastropub.
