Always a great experience at East End from first come, first serve at the bar to reserving the lounge area downstairs for a group of 20. Great food, friendly service!

East End is great place with a great aesthetic. It has almost a galley kitchen vibe with table seating down one side and the bar on the other. There's even booth seating upstairs which is cool. We like coming here when in a mood for splitting a speciality pizza and salad. They keep a ton of local beers on tap, local wine and other specialty drinks. Recently, they were really accommodating to a party with 7 adults and 2 toddlers, but given there isn't a lot of table space it was a tight squeeze upstairs! But they provided coloring pages and crayons to the kiddos to keep them busy which was nice.

Yum! We've been going here very consistently since moving into town and it's one of our favorite spots. The burger is delicious and the pizza is also very good. I will also say that their salad is probably the best in town. The ambiance here is also really nice - bit noisy and hard to hear conversations, but still a 5 star experience.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the greater Santa Cruz area. It's located in Capitola right next to the movie theater. The staff is amazing. The servers are great. One of the Bartenders Grace is an absolute stand out.And the manager is definitively top tier.Love to stop for a glass of wine after work at their comfortable bar and chat up other locals or travelers. Many thanks East End Gastropub.

Good place to grab a bite before or after a movie. Had the burger which was well prepared and tasty and the accompanying fries were good, crispy but not oily. There were some interesting looking items on the menu that seemed worth exploring and the pizza menu looked promising. Not a huge drinks menu but everything on it looked good and everyone should be able to find something they like. Service was good, could stand to be a little more attentive, and the space was open with lots of hard surfaces so fairly noisy. I will definitely return.

Great place to hang out. Nice lively vibe. Plenty of seating. 2 floors. I highly recommend the cheddar biscuits!! Sooo good, and the jalapeño butter was a nice touch. Perfect pairing with my SC cider. Service was great. She was very attentive, and friendly. Keep it up East End!! I will def be back.

We went to the "One Love" movie at the movie house next door and it was dinner time when we walked out. We decided to eat here, we've eaten here previously and it was good. They have a small menu which enables them to max quality and taste. We ordered the bao buns, caulilini, a strawberry & beet salad finishing with a bacon & asparagus pizza. The food firing order was not how we wanted it, but that was easily resolved. The caulilini was dressed in peanut sauce, coconut curry & a sweet chili vinaigrette. Delish. The bao buns were particularly tasty. The buns were stuffed with pork char sui, fresh cucumber, pickled carrot & jicama, jalapeno, cilantro, sesame aioli in a very good filling to bun ratio. The jalapeno was easy to pick out, so I got my wife's. Yo, the strawberry/beet salad was dressed with burrata, almonds, mint, basil, fennel pollen and a strawberry vinaigrette. The mint & basil were a nice foil for the rich burrata. We ended with a bacon & asparagus pizza made with a béchamel sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, chili flakes with an egg, in the middle. Just a beautiful presentation. However, we decided we were full so we took it home. Got home, ate a slice and said W)W! - great pizza. Two thumbs up. Try it, you'll like it.

$17 for Cubano sandwich. No fries, no chips, not even a pickle. I asked the bartender if the sandwich came with anything and she said no but that the sandwich was "huge". That was completely inaccurate as it was about as average sized as a sandwich gets. It wasn't small but it also wasn't big, let alone "huge". Her misleading comment and the price is why I'm only giving 4 stars. That said, it was hands down by far the best tasting Cubano I've ever had. Beer selection was also very limited and not that great or diverse.

Although the service was so great, the atmosphere was amazing. There weren't many options on the menu, which is always good actually because then that you have less to choose from but still I would've loved a little more. I got the bow buns and they were a amazing sing.

If you want a place to go in Santa Cruz that’s consistent this is your place. The customer service is always friendly and welcoming. The food is always great and full of flavor and the atmosphere is always fun with good jams on. This is our go to place! Consistency anywhere but especially in Santa Cruz for food and service is hard to find.
