El Toro is the best, been going there since the 80's. I can't wait for them to reopen after the explosion next door!!!

El Toro Bravo is one of my new favorite places to eat! Both in Capitola and Truckee!
It was alright to eat here, it's just a typical like-tacoshop taqueria spot. Nothing fancy nor extravagant. Prices are fairly good and food it's good taste and fresh.
We were looking for dog friendly place to eat near the beach and El Toro Bravo fit the bill.
The outdoor seating area is small, but cozy and offers nice view of beach area. The server was friendly and the food was tasty.
I’d recommend the Sangria. My chili verde super burrito was good, but I couldn’t pick it up, needed to use knife and fork. I’d probably go with carne burrito next time.
Terrible food and service, huge disappointment. Anyone that rated this place higher than one star has never had authentic Mexican food. The food was bland and lacked the authentic flavors you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant. My carne asada had meat that was dry and overcooked. The salsa tasted like it came from a jar, and the guacamole was watery and flavorless.
The service was also below par—our server seemed more interested in socializing with non customers and failed to execute a simple request (I.e., bring straws). There were only two tables being serviced and couldn’t even check on us. To top it off, the prices were way too high for the quality of food and service.
I rarely leave reviews, but I strongly don’t recommend this place.
Great service, casual atmosphere and totally crave-able comfort food. The enchilada sauce is bar none, the best I have ever had.
I have to be honest... the food is not great. Very little flavor.
Service is great.

Bad just bad food grey flavorless colorless food. The soda machine made flat watery cokes. I really think the beef was freezer burnt. I am so sorry I wasted a Lunch here. Please stop giving business to places like this.

Horrorible food, tastelese. It seems they got bunch of stuff from costco and pass it on to you. Their margaritas are the worse I ever tasted. In addition they silently charge 20% gratuity without telling the customer. When asked for the bill, they dont provide a copy which can see but not take. Dont come here.

As a Mexican, I'm a bit disappointed. The food tasted ok (chicken fajitas) but the way it was prepared/presented didn't match my expectations.
The beer was cold.

They have tasty authentic Mexican food! I go every time I am in the Santa Cruz / Capitola area. It is right on the beach, the perfect location!
Parking: It is on the beach, it is possible to get lucky and find a nearby spot, but I usually park a few streets down.

Eaten here dozens of times over the decades. Simple, honest, Mexican food without all the pretentious razamadaz.
Parking: Because it's PREMIUM beachside location, there's a lot of parking but when the beach is crowded then so is the parking. The beach isn't normally crowded at night, so no problem! Capitola also has a excellent paid parking lot in a Arroyo nearby, providing a lovely walk through the village.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access, adjacent to disabled parking spots.
