I was visiting Capitola recently and decided to have lunch here. This is quite a large location and they have a nice large menu on the wall. I got a half Pilgrims Progress sandwich and salad combo. The sandwich was very tasty. Always my favorite. And love the pickle spear on the side. The salad was a good size and I love their croutons. And remembered to hold the bell peppers this time. Nice balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Quick service. Food delivered to my table. The bathroom was a bit dirty but otherwise a nice lunch experience.

Oh my goodness the Pilgrim sandwich was so fresh and delicious it has to be the best I've had in a long time. Good value for the money. Might have to go back once more before flying home. Wish we had an Erik's Deli in Minnesota!! Service excellent as well, oh I forgot to mention the carrot cake!!!

Sandwhich was average. The server was very helpful explaining the reward system on the app. The dining room is clean and inviting. Had lunch around 10:45a and was not busy. Food was ready in less than 5mins.

My sandwich sucked! Stale bread, old tomatoes. Disappointed- for a place that gets $11 for a sandwich I expected a little more! I'm only adding a star to post it.

In the 20 minutes I was waiting for my turkey sandwich I got to see one customer return with the wrong food, and another customer had to ask for her food because they had forgotten her order, and to top it off, they made me the wrong sandwich. I asked for a refund at that point, but there was no I'm sorry, no anything, just a blank look, and then he asks me for the receipt, After he tells me what the total was for my refund. I'm sorry, but this was a major let down, if the guys are working , don't go in. Just wait for the ladies.

Erik's is consistent and reliable. I always get the same thing and appreciate their gluten-free bread options. I can throw down food and sometimes a full sandwich is too much for me so I split it into two meals. If you're seeking a fresh sandwich with a delightful pickle, this is your place.

ordered a salad for takeout, salad was good-asked for extra dressing and even offered to pay for it. I got 2-2oz cups which would have been plenty if there was at least 1 oz of dressing between the 2 of them.

I keep hoping for better, but alas, it continues to be disappointing. Number one: STAFF: Stop hiring young cashiers who haven't a clue about customer service. Even if the food is half way decent, these employees are the only staff members that customers directly deal with. It's a real turn off when not only are they are unfriendly, but they're rude. (Five times this year, and interestingly, none of them seems to last long). I know Erik's is struggling, but to pay inexperienced and rude (mostly) teenagers minimum wage to handle customers is counterproductive to the company's longevity. Number Two: FOOD: I Ordered chili, and it was lukewarm and excessively watered down. Supposed to come with bread and/or crackers; neither was provided. Additionally, I ordered a half veggie sandwich soup combo. They charged me nearly a dollar for half a slice of cheese for the half sandwich. (The sandwich didn't come with cheese, but $1 for half a slice of cheese?) Overall, when you order from a restaurant, interaction with staff is very important. Almost more important than food quality or quantity. (Food can be great or mediocre, but what stays with the customer most is how she or he is treated.) I want Erik's to thrive, (have patronized them since the 1970's) but at at least the Capitola location, management really needs to carefully evaluate the recipe for success.

They messed up all 6 of our sandwiches, after taking forever to make them. Definitely choose to walk out if you see a bunch of just teenage boys working. They're more interested in talking to each other than making things right and quickly.

I love their half sandwich cup of soup deal! My favorite is the Reuben with Tomato Basil soup.

FINALLY! The food was amazing today and the customer service EXCELLENT! I am so happy to see that improvements have been made and I can once again enjoy a wonderful sandwich! A Plus today! My sandwich was prepared perfectly and the side of turkey for my dogs was wrapped separately ! ( which the dogs enjoyed).
