Cute gluten-free bakery in Santa Cruz, and I must say the most authentic taste and gluten-free doughnut. I tried the coconut and it was really neck an neck to an original old-fashioned donut!

Melinda's IS the ONLY GLUTEN free bakery in Santa Cruz. If you are celiac or have a strong intolerance you often have no option but to bake everything yourself, purchase at a chain store [always overpriced, over sugared not fresh], or do without. Melinda's does such a great job at making most pastried look and taste as the standard in french bakery or better.
I dont think many people know how especial it is to have an all gluten free specialty bakery in town.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE...VERY GREASY, HEAVY UNCOOKED DOUGH IN 6 ASSORTED DANISHES, Donuts, SCONES, HEAVY...HORRIBLE GREASE AFTER TASTE IN MOUTH...STICKY RAW DOUGH IN EVERY ONE TRIED...Didn't ANY WHO BAKES THERE Taste TEST..$6.00 per item....too expensive for crappy uck.

This is by far the best GF bakery I have tried. Everything I had was delicious and had great texture, which is hard to find gluten-free. Cinnamon rolls, cookies, baguettes, donuts are all amazing!

The best cinnamon roll ever!!! Wouldn’t even know it was gluten free if I weren’t at a gluten free bakery. lol

The service was very friendly. The place was clean. My boyfriend and I drove from Watsonville with high expectations. We got to the bakery around 1 pm on empty stomachs. When I looked at the savory items, they seemed overcooked, but I was so hungry we ordered about $25 worth of food. Biting into that croissant sandwich was equivalent to biting into a bag of rocks. It was so hard, crunchy, and filled with disappointment. Maybe we caught the bakery on a bad day. But we will not be coming back. I’ve been to many gluten-free bakeries in Ireland, Montreal, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, etc... This is by far the worst gluten-free items I’ve tasted, respectfully.

The only place I can find a gluten free croissant in this small town!!! ? I literally crave your pizza rolls and breakfast croissants, but have never gone wrong with anything new I’ve ordered.
