A lady crowded in front of us and the employee just let her. Portions seemed smaller than other gluten free bakery. They did have several choices for a gluten and soy allergy.
Such a friendly experience and oh those cookies and doughnuts were a gluten-free persons dream!

A fantastic small gluten free and celiac friendly bakery owned locally!
They offer a wide range of products, including cinnamon buns, bread, doughnuts, croissants and more, with pre-made mixes and cute gifts as well.
The staff are always friendly and understand the questions you may have regarding their baking process and any allergy concerns you have. The prices are comparable to a standard bakery but without the headache of gluten.
Very tasty
I believe they do have wonderful gluten-free items however a few of their selections taste disappointing.

Cute gluten-free bakery in Santa Cruz, and I must say the most authentic taste and gluten-free doughnut. I tried the coconut and it was really neck an neck to an original old-fashioned donut!

Melinda's IS the ONLY GLUTEN free bakery in Santa Cruz. If you are celiac or have a strong intolerance you often have no option but to bake everything yourself, purchase at a chain store [always overpriced, over sugared not fresh], or do without. Melinda's does such a great job at making most pastried look and taste as the standard in french bakery or better.
I dont think many people know how especial it is to have an all gluten free specialty bakery in town.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE...VERY GREASY, HEAVY UNCOOKED DOUGH IN 6 ASSORTED DANISHES, Donuts, SCONES, HEAVY...HORRIBLE GREASE AFTER TASTE IN MOUTH...STICKY RAW DOUGH IN EVERY ONE TRIED...Didn't ANY WHO BAKES THERE Taste TEST..$6.00 per item....too expensive for crappy uck.
