I lived in Santa Cruz from 1979 to 1981 and absolutely love this coffee shop and just googled my the coffee shop and was so surprised to see that it still there.

This place consistently has the best cheesecake and homemade whipped cream! Staff are extremely friendly and fun to chat with. Great place to get work done, meet new people, and enjoy a cup of coffee. By far my favorite coffee shop I've ever been to!

However, the coffee was quite disappointing. The brewed coffee I had was so weak and flavorless that it left me longing for gas-station coffee. I also didn't appreciate the subtle pressure to tip at a place where no service was actually provided.
