Visited while vacationing in Carlsbad and had a great experience. The beef dip sandwich is excellent, they have a great (and reasonably priced) beer selection, and the staff is super friendly, fast, & incredibly efficient. Highly recommend.

My wife and I decided to try this place, and weren't disappointed. The sandwiches are HUGE, and if you have a light appetite or are watching your weight I seriously advise splitting one with someone! The parking is tricky, but this is downtown Carlsbad near the beach. The service is terrific-order to sandwich delivery time is remarkable. who's running the kitchen, Mussolini? Very, Very quick and efficient. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Knocked off 1/2 star for the bathroom situation-only one, and it had a whiff of a bad drain somewhere. These older structures near the beach have a time with this issue-don't know why. Patio is spacious, and features music just a wee bit too loud, another 1/2 star. Otherwise, enjoy!

First off Diego is one of the best players in this game. I am a local who just wanted a great sandwich but with Diego’s guidance I got a sandwich AND an experience. He not only listened to what I wanted but then gave me some great advice about what they had to offer. Atmosphere was mediocre but the sandwich I received and the customer service was above and beyond! Glad I took a chance on a Sunday night for a local landmark! It did not disappoint! Thanks Diego you made my night!

I don't appreciate how I was treated by one of the cashiers today. It's just uncomfortable when you can't even pretend to make the person paying you feel welcome. This shouldn't be accepted.Edit: Thank you for your quick response Meryl,I come here frequently and the manager and staff are always top-notch discounting that situation. I truly thank you and this association for addressing my concerns. They were immediately resolved, and I remain a loyal supporter. During my recent visits including last Friday afternoon, the service has been exceptional.
