Great service! Way too loud. Why restaurants choose to set up in a barn will never make sense to me.It's probably my fault for ordering ceviche at a taco shop. But it was un edible. It tasted like the tuna sat out in the sun all day.The beer was good!

First time visiting here, several times for my family. The venue is very comfortable and calming from the outside seating to the inside seating. The wait staff needs better training and how to listen to customers. I asked several times for extra plates, since they didn’t observe how many people and how many plates were on the table. After several try’s, I got a little snippy with the young waiter and told him to “just bring us more plates.” We had ordered family style tacos of chicken, beef and pork. I found the chicken dry and tasteless. The beef and pork were more seasoned and moist and were more enjoyable. We did order drinks, which didn’t come until after the food was put down. All the tortillas are hand made right there behind the kitchen windows by an expert tortillas maker. Even the chips are made from their homemade tortillas. A real plus in my book. When you order family style, a tray of all the necessary ingredients to build your own tacos are brought out. The guacamole was on the bland side though. The salsa they serve is nothing like what most Mexican restaurants serve. Theirs is a dark salsa, somewhat like a Chipotle but bitter. I go to Casero taqueria with my girlfriends every time we go to Carlsbad, the food is so fresh and so are the margaritas, they also have a variety of items in their menu, I highly recommend. I don’t know where the people who rated this place with 1 Star came from.

The food is tasty enough, and our server was super nice, but at slightly less than 2 hours of sitting at our table, the manager (and apparently owner) Sam made the server tell us we needed to leave . There's no policy on their menu that states a time limit and when I raised it with the manager directly and politely, he still didn't apologize, and said he had reservations waiting. I waited tables for years in my youth and understand the need to flip tables but also the need to provide basic customer service. Good customer service would've been coming by our table and gently explaining that you had a reservation waiting and oh is there any possible way that we would mind settling up. Bad customer service, which Sam demonstrated, is telling a table that they need to leave and then when you're politely confronted with the rudeness, still refusing to apologize. So yeah, never going back.Parking: Hardly any
Nice spot. Open air dining, Mexican coke. Good margaritas and very good food. The chips and salsa are very fresh.

SoCasa is a small taquería with a big heart. The the food is fantastic. The tacos are creative but not over the top ridiculous. Great for a meal with friends but also comfortable enough to bring your parents. The envinronment is super inviting, beautiful and clean. I love their choice of color scheme. I also want to give a shout out to the service. Both the people at the front counter and the waitstaff are very hospitable.
