The Cioppino seafood soup was really good. My girlfriend loves pasta, bread and Italian food, after seeing an advertisement for a special at this restaurant I knew this would be a good date night dinner opportunity. My girlfriend absolutely loved her pasta dish which I do not remember the name of. I remember when I was a kid my parents loved the Cioppino from some restaurant in Cardiff that no longer exists so when I saw it on the menu I thought for the price it must be amazing...
My wife and I love this place. We have been here numerous times and recommended it. This area of Carlsbad is quaint and inviting, and safe with many people out walking and frequenting restaurants and ice cream parlors nearby. The food is always rich and flavorful, and the service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant has an open feel with a converted roll-up door that allows views of the night life. The place has an Italian feel with dark wooden furnishings, nothing too fancy,...
tasty seafood and great shrimp salad, but the lesagna not so good. the sausage was too hard and on big chunks for the pasta. I basically ate the sauce and melted cheese. Not worth 20usd.
