Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to grab some take-out for dinner. This location is tucked away in an industrial park so on the weekend there is plenty of parking.

This is truly a no-frills location which seems to do nothing but takeout since there is just a couple seats inside to eat-in and no bathrooms from what I could see. It gets the job done since when I was in there for 10 minutes waiting on my food I saw multiple customers and delivery drivers arrive to get their food. Nobody sat down to eat. Perhaps during the weekdays people will stay longer to eat.

My order consisted of delta catfish and shrimp (both fried), baby-back ribs and fried okra. The catfish was perfect, cooked just enough for a nice crunch but very juicy and flavorful inside. Shrimp were large and full of flavor as well. Ribs were smokey and meaty. Okra hit the spot and was a crowd favorite at home. Overall I'd come back again very soon and will probably try the fried chicken along with the catfish again since it was so good.

Vegetarian options: There are several delicious vegetarian dishes to choose from.

Parking: This started out as catering only; now they have a small shop where you can dine in or get carryout. The food is excellent: so delicious, and you can get 'soul food' that's difficult to find in SoCal, at reasonable prices. Delightful, and definitely worth dining here!

I haven't had BBQ this good since I was back in Mississippi visiting my lil sis. I am now officially hooked on this place! This is the best BBQ I've had in North County and I can't wait to come back🥰.

Highly, highly recommend. We absolutely loved everything we had. The flavors and cook of everything were so perfect. The tri-tip was so so tender and juicy, my god. The bbq sauce was so unique in the most wonderful ways. The blackened catfish was so amazing. And all the portions were so generous! We want to come back every week.

I googled this place because I was at a hotel in the area. I went there and I thought it was a warehouse. I went inside and no one was there. A food delivery guy came in, and he noticed the same thing. We yelled for someone for several minutes, but no one came out. The delivery guy walked to the back and yelled again, but still no one answered. I immediately walked out because I saw the scenario like this on an episode of 48 hours, and I didn't want to be a part of it.

I ordered the full rack of BBQ spare ribs. It came with two sides so I got macaroni and cheese, and southern style baked beans with bacon and cornbread. Pictures of menu and dishes provided. Overall spent 39$.
The ribs - Extremely tender. Fall off the bone. But the flavor isn’t there really. You need extra BBQ sauce to really get much of anything from it. Overall disappointing.
Macaroni and cheese - Very curdled/grainy. Strong cheese flavor but the grainy texture was a bit much.
Beans with bacon - Literally no bacon in it whatsoever. Sweet pleasant flavor. Probably the best of the things I ordered.
Cornbread - It was corn bread. Not the best ever. But it was not bad.
Overall I rate this visit 7/10. Very beautiful food. Very tender. Flavor was disappointing. Beans didn’t have bacon. Mac n cheese was grainy and just OK. More than likely won’t come again.

Been here many times but very bad experience this last Friday night. Poor service, food not up to usual . Playing a band so couldn't visit at all. Actually left with a headache. Too small for loud music. Very disappointing experience. Won't go Friday nights anymore.
